Update: thank you so much for your generosity! We are providing appropriate vet medical care for Oscar and Storm. We are rescuing an increasing number of high medical needs and really appreciate your donations - all donations that have been donated to Oscar and Storm will go directly to their care and any received beyond will go to other medical expenses for our sweet rescues! A formal and comprehensive thank you will be posted shortly to those who donated!💕🐾. You’re all amazing!

Storm, a 3-year-old female Husky/Lab cross, and Oscar, an 11-month-old male German Shepherd, both came (separately) to Battlefords Humane Society Shelter recently, each with a broken leg! These two sweethearts are in desperate need of surgery, and the cost will exceed $2000.

Both Storm and Oscar have great prospects for recovery, but they need your support to get there. 💔🐾

🐾 Meet Rebel! 🐾

Rebel is an adorable puppy with a beautiful black and white coat. He’s a calm yet playful little guy who loves attention and is super focused on humans, making him very trainable. Friendly with other dogs and cats, Rebel is the perfect addition to any family. Our best guess is that he's a Collie/Terrier mix.

🐾 Meet Miss Splinter! 🐾
Miss Splinter is a beautiful 3-year-old cat who's looking for her forever home! She has been with us since May 2024 and gave birth to 4 healthy kittens, all of whom have been adopted. This sweet girl has been in the medical unit because of her fear of other animals and loud noises. Recently, we had to move her to general population, where she's even more afraid.

Miss Splinter would thrive with a consistent caregiver and a safe, quiet environment. She is such a nice cat and deserves a wonderful fur-ever home. Like all our adoptable pets, she is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

🎃🐾 Spooktacular Adoption Alert: Meet Megatron! 🐾🎃

This Halloween, don't be fooled by Megatron's name—he's the sweetest "Not-So-Dangerous Decepticon" you'll ever meet!

While he might look big and intimidating, this lovable American Staffordshire Terrier has a heart of gold and has charmed everyone at the shelter. Now, he's on the hunt for his forever home!

👻 About Megatron:
Breed: Best guess is American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: About 4 years old
Appearance: Looks like a tough boy, but once you're 10 feet away, you'll see his tail wagging with excitement.
Personality: Super kind and cuddly, Megatron loves pets and affection. He taps his toes in excitement every morning to see us and can't wait to share his love with you.
Compatibility: Very choosy about his canine companions, doesn't seem to care about cats, and we're not sure about kids.
House-Trained: Megatron is very house-trained and keeps his kennel pristine all day.

🐾 Meet Lyle and Milo: Best Friends Ready for Their Furever Homes! 🐾
Lyle and Milo have spent their entire lives hanging out with each other as backyard buddies and nextdoor neighbours at our shelter and they're ready to find their forever homes!

Lyle and Milo:

Age: About 1 year old
Breed: German Shepherd mixes
S*x: Both are male
Personality:
Both are energetic, excited to be around people, and good with kids. Lyle loves to chew but can be chill and Milo is such an enthusiastic tail wagger!
They're both trainable and seem good with cats and other dogs.
Despite having spent their whole lives in our overcrowded shelter, these playful pups remain full of love and excitement.

Why Adopt Lyle and Milo?:

They're incredibly affectionate and ready to share their love.

Cat: We're giving this little one some space as they adjust, so we don't know the s*x just yet.
