Hey folks!

Anyone looking to lend a hand in the community, please check out Open Arms: https://www.northeasthealthline.ca/displayservice.aspx?id=147274 where we are handing out meals to the community every Wednesday, there are ample times from 7:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. to volunteer. It is a great group of individuals, and you never leave feeling like you should not have come!

The Gathering Place: https://www.thegatheringplacenorthbay.ca/ where they are looking for volunteers for every other day of the week! You can sign up online for a shift that suits your availability.

Omond United Church of North Bay is a welcoming space that is always looking for volunteers, whether it be before or after service, as most of the churches around North Bay. This space with, Rev. Dr. Will Kunder is so welcoming each and every time we attend. My Grandmere would be rolling around in her grave, but it isn't preachy, nor stale. From bake sales to luncheons, they are always looking for extra hands!

We can make a difference, even if it's only an hour once a month. We can be the changes we wish to see in the world, and we can pass it on to those around us. So today, I am sharing with you. I have volunteered regularly now, and each and every time I learn something new, and I feel bad as I am gaining more than I can ever give.

We are looking in to some big things for the future! .... 🐾🐕🤍⏳

Are you interested in doggy daycare for your pups? Do you love to have your dog socialized for the day so that when you return home from work, they're nice and relaxed so you both can be? Do you find you have to drive quite far to receive great services? Do you love to receive pick up and drop off services? Do you love when they're close to home? Do you love a safe and friendly space with all of their friends to play? Do you love a fenced in area with play, walks, and fun all day? Is it all of these things, and more?... ✨🐩🌞🐾

We are looking in to just the solution for you! The idea will be to offer in-town acreage, that is fenced-in, all-dog space for your pup to play, dream and stay!

PSA! 🐾

It is HOT out! Please do not walk your dog's during this heat. If you are hot, the pavement heats up 100 times more and that means it emits heat and on top of that, is burning hot to touch!

Wait for cooler periods; evening periods, or early morning:
once the sun sleeps or before it is up!

Touch the pavement yourself at these periods to ensure its cooled down! If you can avoid road walks: stick to the shaded bush where it is cool and there is a breeze, thanks to the trees! Going to the lake is always a better option, they can swim and stay in shaded areas!

Always ensure to have water on you for your furry pals, dehydration is real! Ensure you have plenty of shaded area for them to stay in!

Do not leave your animals in vehicles during this heat. They love you, but they would much rather be cool at home than die of heat exhaustion.

You want to walk in this heat? You go right ahead. Leave your friends at home. THIS IS NOT FAIR TO THE ANIMALS.

If you think it's hot, they have a coat on they cannot remove!

Please think of your animals safety and well-being! They cannot tell you so it is your job as a pawrent to take care of them!

We’re excited for the screening of A Tail of Love, a locally shot film about a love connection at a dog rescue under threat of closure. All proceeds benefit the North Bay Humane Society!
