We will be hosting a microchip clinic Friday, May 3rd 2024. The cost will be 35$ per pet and all funds raised will go towards our OSCAR fund for emergency veterinary care. It will be held from 9am to 12pm and no appointment is necessary!

It's - a worldwide movement encouraging people to give back however they can. Our team wants to extend this day to several weeks by collecting food, toys, hygiene items, and pet products for Hope Awaits Ministries Men's Shelter. Drop off your donations at our hospital during regular operating hours!

Most needed items included: blankets, hats, mitts/gloves, hand warmers, socks, tooth brushes and granola bars!

Kona is a 6-year-old Alaskan Malamute, who was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in July, 2023. He weighed 79.5kg at that time and was having difficulty getting around. Since starting treatment, Kona is now down to 66kg and back to enjoying activities he had trouble with before. See his before and after photos below!

Airport Animal Hospital will be hosting a nail trim clinic December 29th from 9am-12pm. No appointment necessary! $30 for dogs and $20 for cats (plus tax). We look forward to seeing you there!

The week of October 15-21 is recognized in our industry as national veterinary technician appreciation week.

Veterinary technicians are the backbone of any veterinary hospital. Just a small taste of what they do on a daily basis:

*administering and monitoring anesthesia
*surgical preparation and assistance
*taking radiographs
*taking and running bloodwork and urine tests
*routine care, intensive care, and emergency management of patients
*physiotherapy and rehabilitation exercises
*preparation for euthanasia procedures

…and that’s just to start! They also do the “dirty work” like laundry and cleaning kennels. They contribute to the general maintenance of the veterinary hospital and help keep things running smoothly. They are an invaluable resource!

Please join me in celebrating our veterinary technicians next week, and all weeks, as we couldn’t do this job without them!
