Did you know that we offer 4DX blood parasite testing at Blue Sky Animal Hospital?

This test is run in-house, gives results within 10 minutes and checks for exposure to Heartworm, Lyme, and the 2 other tick-borne diseases that your pet may have been exposed to.

Ticks can be active any time the weather is 4°C and above and can be tricky to spot in dense or long fur. An annual blood test, along with monthly flea/tick preventatives, ensures that your pet's health is protected.

In the past two weeks, we have had 2 newly diagnosed positive Lyme disease cases from pets who are local to North Bay, which means it is now endemic in the area.
