As the weather gets cooler, it's important to keep our furry friends safe during the fall season! Here are some fall safety tips for pets:

1. Avoid giving your pets people food, especially items like chocolate, grapes, and onions which can be toxic to them.

2. Keep household chemicals and cleaners out of reach of pets to prevent accidental ingestion.

3. Make sure your pets are up to date on their preventatives to protect them from fleas, ticks, and other parasites.

If you have any concerns about your pet's health this fall, don't hesitate to contact us at Parkside Animal Hospital. Our team is here to help keep your pets happy and healthy all season long! 🐾

Even though the evenings are getting cooler, the warmer days mean ticks are still on the prowl.

We recently removed a large tick from a cat, reminding us all that our feline friends need flea and tick prevention just as much as dogs do! 🐱🐶

With our winters becoming more unpredictable, it’s crucial to keep your pets protected year-round. Don’t let ticks take your pets by surprise—prevention is key! 🐾

With Halloween just around the corner, it's important to be mindful of what treats are safe for our furry friends. While cats may not be as interested in candy as dogs, it's still important to keep any potentially harmful treats out of their reach. Chocolate, raisins, xylitol, and birch sugar can all be harmful to cats if ingested. Stick to safer options like hard candy or special cat-friendly treats this Halloween season! 🐾🍬

Our Story

Welcome to Parkside Animal Hospital! Our full service, cat friendly practice opened in early 2014. Located in the iconic “King Cone” building at the heart of the city, we opened with several goals in mind. The first and foremost is to ensure that every patient and client receives the highest quality – from communication, to equipment, from education to empathy and from constant diligence to a positive and caring environment. From the beginning we realized this requires a specific approach. Our team is made up of exceptional individuals – all of which would go to the end of the earth for a patient, just as we would our own pets. We realize that pets are family and require the kind of respect; which that entails. If after viewing our website you are thinking that Parkside might be a great fit for you and your pet, we welcome you to stop in, bring your pet, meet our team and see our facility!
