Boris has been with us nearly a year now, but we are still hopeful that his person/people are out there.
He's about 3 years old, and is one of the sweetest most loving dogs you will ever meet. He adores being with his people and is great with kids. Boris has plenty of dog friends and loves wrestling and playing chase. He lives with multiple dogs of all sizes and ages in his foster home, male and female. Coming across dogs while on leash is something that he still struggles with, although he has made some progress.
Boris did not have a good first 2 years of life, and because of that he deals with anxiety/obsessive behaviours. He cannot be left outside in the yard to his own devices, or he will circle/tail chase. While he has improved, this is something that will never completely go away so does require some management.
The ideal home for Boris is somewhere more rural where he will be an inside dog (of course supervised outside time is required), and won’t need to go on leashed walks where he will encounter a lot of other dogs.
Boris really just wants to be with his people. Someone that is retired or works from home would be amazing. Another dog friend would be great but it’s not a requirement. Boris loves hiking and swimming. He is well behaved in the house and thinks he is a lap dog.
