Happy, happy 3rd birthday (on Jan. 7th), little Winston! We love this little cutie so much - so full of love and sweetness! He loves to race around the woods with his friends, and is always enthusiastic to participate in both love and play. So thrilled to have him in our lives, and hope to share a long life with him! 🥰

Happy anniversary to our Chance! It was on this day 14 years ago that we officially adopted him (a week after meeting him). Bonnie from Cross our Paws took this picture. Chance was found wandering the streets of Kamloops when he was just around 9 months old. Nobody claimed him. He shut down in the shelter - wouldn’t eat or respond. They called Bonnie as a last resort - saying that she was his last chance. So she drove to pick him up - and named him Chance. One of the first pictures we took of him captured him in a typical pose - with his paws crossed. We thought it was especially funny, given that he came from “Cross our Paws.” The second picture here was taken today. In the same pose again, our beautiful boy now at 15. Thank you Bonnie; your legacy will live on in all the animals you saved and found great homes for. So grateful forever for you. And so grateful for our Great Big White Love.

Happy 13th birthday, Sami! This little girl may be a senior now, has only one (fading) eye, and is pretty much completely deaf - but she still has s***k!! She still joins us on group walks and bosses around her friends as she always has. We love you, little Gremlin! ❤️

Happy 12th birthday to “our” Mar-Mar (Marley) (from Nov. 19th)! As you can see, he had a great birthday - first with his friends and us in the woods; and then he got spoiled at home by his family! You make us so happy buddy - love you so much! ❤️

We are deeply shocked and saddened by this news. We had a special connection to Bonnie, as we got our Chance from her 14 years ago, and still get to enjoy him today. She was a special soul - that rescued other special souls and shared them with deserving people. We’re all so lucky to have had her in our lives. Whatever help we could give her rescue over the years never seemed enough, compared to what she did herself. Surely she must be in pet heaven now, welcomed by so many that love her and went before her. We will miss you, Bonnie.

Today marks the 12 year anniversary of my sister Christiane passing away from cancer. She was only 46 years old. Some of you will remember her, as she helped me walk your dogs in early years. She loved them all so much. I miss her so much, every day. If you’re indulging this weekend, please raise a glass to her. She was one of the best souls this Earth has ever had. You can be assured that she’s with those of your dogs that have passed away. She wouldn’t want to be in any other kind of heaven. 💔
