What a wonderful weekend we had at the Kenora & District Dog Club show this past weekend!

Kailey and Nessa (Ch Amberlyn's Intrigue RN) competed in Rally Intermediate, and earned Nessa's RI title! I'm so proud of them, Kailey has done all the training on Nessa herself, with the help of our Rally coach, Sharon 💕

Nash (GCh Dynique's International Dynamo CGN RM CRAMCL) qualified in all 12 trials he was entered in for Rally (Masters x4, Excellent x4, and Advanced x4)
I did some counting and realized he now has his RAE and RMX as of this weekend! So proud of this little guy ❤️❤️

Big news for Flash (Ch Beldawn Illumination CGN RM), I entered her in two conformation shows on Friday only (as there were no Rally trials Friday), and she took Best of Breed in both shows, finishing her Grand Championship!

My sister, Erin gave Rally Advanced a go this week with her English Springer Spaniel and earned 2 legs towards her Rally Advanced title!

My sister, Lisa and her little mixed breed Lark were not to be outdone either, earning Lark's Rally Novice AND Rally Advanced titles this weekend, they came all the way in from Alberta for this show!

Looking so forward to our next show in Portage la Prairie in a couple weeks, June 29-July 1!

We had a good weekend at the Fort Garry Kennel Club dog show with Flash (Ch Beldawn Illumination CGN RM) and Nessa (Ch Amberlyn's Intrigue RN)
They both got their titles for the level of Rally Obedience they were competing in.
Flash is new Rally Master, Nessa is new Rally Novice. Nessa has been solely trained and trialed by my 10 year old daughter, Kailey!
Unfortunately Nash (GCh Dynique's International Dynamo CGN RM CRAMCL) was feeling a little under the weather this weekend, and so I kept him home Saturday and Sunday, he's looking brighter this evening though 💕
Big thanks to Sharon Otto for her continual support and Rally lessons for Kailey and I! We wouldn't be here without you!
We are now looking forward to the Kenora dog show in about 3 weeks!

Beldawn Shetland Sheepdogs will be at the Fort Garry Kennel Club Dog Show Friday May 24 - Sunday May 26 2024.

We are showing in Rally Obedience this weekend.

The show will be held at Oakbank Community Recreation Arena - 1016 Almey Ave, Oakbank MB.

I spent the whole day before washing and brushing the Shelties. This is what they look like after 10 minutes running loose.

Update- I have had an overwhelming response from lovely people who are interested in giving Kiki a home. At this time I am not taking any more applicants for her, but if that changes I will post again. Thanks all for the interest, she is an absolute sweetheart and I am going to have a hard time letting her go, but seeing the joy she will bring to her new home will make it so much easier!

Kiki is 19 weeks old and only 9.5", 2.1kg.
This tiny girl does not let her size slow her down! She's so outgoing and absolutely loves everyone she meets!
Now considering placing her in a perfect home. I'm sure she would love to get into sports, she will be much too small for conformation.

Another show weekend competing in Rally has come to end!

Thursday night there was a Canine Good Neighbour evaluation, Flash passed, earning her CGN title.

In rally, Flash was entered in Excellent, where she got 3 qualifying scores, earning her RE title!
Nash was entered in Excellent B and Advanced B. In Excellent we got two perfect scores of 100, a 99, and 97.
In Advanced he was again handled by my daughter, Kailey. They got a 91 and 95! Sadly 2 NQs for 1 missed sign in each of the last two trials. Kailey is very new to Rally and I'm so proud of how quickly she's come to love it.
I have to say a HUGE THANK-YOU to all the people who took time to stop and talk to Kailey this weekend, and congratulate her. She's got so many fans! This has been an amazing boost to her self confidence, and she's looking forward to the next show in February!

All in all, Nash has earned two more legs towards his RAE, and Flash is now Ch Beldawn Illumination CGN RE

I didn't get any photos of my pups this weekend, so enjoy this throw back from January, 2023. Flash and sire Nash!

Posting this a little late! Flash and I (and Nash with my daughter) attended the WASSA rally trial earlier this month! Flash got her 3rd qualifying score in advanced, earning her RA title!
My daughter did an amazing job with Nash, her first time at a rally trial, getting a score of 85 in advanced!

We look forward to exhibiting these two in Rally at the WCKC show in Brandon, MB this November!

Baby Clifford, now named Rip, went to his new home yesterday! I miss the little guy, but it's easier when I get to see how happy he makes his new family!

Last week was so busy getting the kids back to school, I didn't get around to doing any photos of the babies! Today they are now 8 weeks old! Full of personality and energy, they absolutely love playing around outside, and chasing around the other dogs (and the kids!)
They're only here for a couple more weeks, sure gonna miss these ones.🥰❤️

First full grooms today! Baths, blow dry, and brushing. Both babies were wonderful, giving me face kisses through out!

Busy weekend at MCA dog show, I'm late posting the puppies 5 week update! They're starting to get some outside time now and they love it!!

Hard to believe they're 4 weeks old already! Today they got their nails trimmed, dewormed, and went outside for the first time!
Shey (the girl) is weighing in at just 1 lb, while her brother, Clifford (what else could I name him 🤣) is now 3 lbs!

Big changes this week! 3 weeks old, eyes are open and babies are on the move! The girl is weighing in at 422g, and the boy at 988g!

Babies were 2 weeks old on Sunday! Such a size difference! Eyes should be opening any day now 🥰

Announcing the arrival of our babies, born overnight July 16/17th.
The delivery was not without complications, landing us at the emergency vet for the night. As hard as we fought, and as hard as she fought, we did lose one beautiful girl yesterday.
We are left with one handsome, thriving boy, and a feisty, tiny girl. Both these babies have been doing very well so far.
Mom Merry is doing very well also, taking care of them wonderfully.
More pics to come in the next few days.

Flash had a great weekend in Portage la Prairie this weekend!
She picked up a couple WB/BOW/BOS to finish off her Championship!
She is now Can Ch Beldawn Illumination RN. (Can GCh Dynique's International Dynamo CGN RM CRAMCL x Can Ch Amberlyn's Intrigue)

She also got 2 qualifying scores in Rally Advanced, unfortunately she turned her ears off just a little too soon this weekend, and NQd her last run, apparently forgetting what the word "sit" means (I know Flash, that's a tough one 😅)

Regardless, lots of fun was had, and I'm so proud of my little Flashy girl!!

Flash had a great weekend at the Fort Garry Kennel Club show in Oakbank! With scores of 99 (High in Class), 96, and 100, she earned her Rally Novice title and is officially Beldawn Illumination RN.
She also did well in the conformation ring, she was awarded WB on Friday and WB/BOW/BOS on Sunday, bringing her to 6 points!
By the last day she was starting to lose her energy a little (something I didn't think was possible!), but it's safe to say this girl loves to show!
