As a human case of rabies was recently diagnosed in Ontario, it is important for everyone to be aware of the most important ways we can actively prevent rabies.
1. Avoid contact with wildlife.
2. Have a risk assessment done to determine if post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is needed, if exposed to wildlife.
3. Vaccinate your pets against rabies!
