As we head into the long weekend remember to keep your pup cool!
- Walk during the early morning and evening
- Make sure your dog has access to cool water at all times
- Use a cooling pad or cold, wet towel to help them stay comfortable
- NEVER leave them in the car
- Wet a bandana and freeze it. Put on your pup before heading outdoors.

If you think your dog has heatstroke contact your vet immediately.

Does your puppy get more nippy and jumpy throughout the day? It may be that they are overtired.
Make sure to schedule downtime, preferably in their crate, throughout the day. Puppies, much like baby's, need to nap and recharge.

Teach your pup to like collar grabs with the Gotcha Game.

Many puppy's and dogs do not like having their collar grabbed. This can lead to unwanted behaviours.

The Gotcha Game - Place a treat on your pups nose, hold their collar and say "Gotcha", then reward. Repeat several times a day. Make sure to keep it fun!

Hoopers is a fairly new dog sport that helps develop new skills for your pup. It is low impact, fast and fun. Similar to agility but without the jumps or contact equipment. Dogs learn to work with you through a course of hoops, tunnels and barrels.

Introducing Hoopers, a fun dog sport for everyone!

Dogs learn to navigate hoops, tunnels, and barrels. It is similar to agility courses, but without the tight turns and jumps and is low impact which makes it great for dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages.

Hoopers is a great training and bonding experience with your dog.

Classes will be run in our air conditioned facility.

This 6-week course runs from Friday, July 12th to August 23rd at 7:00 pm – No class August 2nd.
