He made huge improvements in the week he was here.
Day 1- he was very nervous and unsure of everything and due to that he was even snappy at times. So a little extra one on one time was spent with him.
Day 2- he was still a little unsure of things at times but made great progress from the first day.
Day 3 and on- he was a total different guy.
Seeing him get comfortable and open up with myself and the other dogs was very heart warming! He even did excellent with his groom,
Which actually quite shocked me.
Spending that extra time with him and reassuring him that it was all okay really helped this guy settle in!
Some dogs jump out of the car and don’t look back while others need a little more reassurance! And that’s exactly what we did 💝

It was a day of grooming some Goldens. This breed has such a gentle, easy going temperament!

💥We’ve got some exciting news around here💥

An additional kennel has been added back into our facility as we’ve had to turn down quite a few due to being fully booked! So we now have 6 kennels 😁

As well as we have also hired some help!
So if you don’t see me and you are greeted by an unfamiliar face when picking up or dropping off your dog for boarding, that would be our casual employee!
-If you know me, I am quite particular so it couldn’t be just anyone. Korie has lots of experience and knowledge with dogs in all aspects, so she will be a great asset in our facility!

The owners to these dogs and the dogs themself have committed to and completed the 4 week basic obedience class. And they all did so awesome with their week to week progress! I absolutely loved watching all these dogs progress over the past 4 weeks.
It took commitment, dedication, consistency and patience of each owner and it showed!!
Dogs are a life long commitment and so is the training as it really never ends!
Continue to set new goals, make it fun & make it happen!

The golden retriever in this video has made HUGE progress since his first stay. He is just under a year and had not met any other dogs prior nor stayed away from home. He was quite nervous the first time but we worked with what he was comfortable with. And this time he walked in like a totally different dog. This is him now, he couldn’t do this his first visit without showing that he was very timid and nervous about everything. new environment, new people, new dogs. So this is HUGE even though it may not look like it!
It makes me happy seeing him make such great progress!
I am so looking forward to spending a month with this guy!

Ellie’s first groom and she was sweet as can be! There was so much hair EVERYWHERE

I am pretty lucky that I’ve had the chance to spend quite a bit of time with this young lady! This was her second full groom and wow she was a total different dog. Any kind of experience has a huge impact on each dog, especially those pups who are figuring out life. So we must make each experience a good one🩶. Great work to the owners for giving their pup the opportunity to experience lots during her first year!

Kenu the German Shepherd🩶🖤🤎 6 months old. And 2.5 months of inconsistent training put into her as she is only with me while the owner is at work

From what I’ve seen and experienced, Dogs in the shepherd family are their own special breed! So training must start from day one and on if you are wanting a well mannered and obedient companion when matured. Yes some breeds can be a little more difficult and some are a little easier to train but when working with their first year of life, almost any breed is quite easily trained as you are starting with a clean slate. Everything they learn is exactly what was reinforced, this also unfortunately includes the unwanted behaviours! I’ve been working with this German shepherd pup off and on for a couple months now, she just turned 6 months not long ago. So we still have lots of room for improvement! 😍

Dogs are a life long commitment so to have a well mannered and behaved dog that you can take anywhere is so rewarding for both the owner and the dog. And that takes everyday practice working in new environments with new distractions

Bruce the farm dog gets to stay a few days with us and also experience a very thorough groom. His coat is a wirey texture so it really holds onto the dead/loose hair causing it to be quite impacted in areas, as well as hold onto debris throughout his whole coat. He looks and feels so much lighter!

Not many ask but some do! Here is our facility and what we are all about: 🐾Large off leash exercise area. 🐾Large indoor kennels that are attached to large fully enclosed outdoor runs. 🐾Large yard & walking trails. 🐾We burn energy both physically & mentally. 🐾Boarding drop off & pick up between 830am-530pm. 🐾What you will need to bring for your DOG during their stay is their food and a favourite toy or chew if they have. 🐾What you will need to bring for your CAT during their stay is their food, litter box and supplies, as well as any favourite toy if they have. 🐾Grooming availability.🐾Training availability.

Cosmo & Kenu hit it off! Wherever the one is, the other isn’t far off🧡🖤 -Cosmo hasn’t stayed with us for a while so for now he needs a tether while running the yard as it gives a little more control if needed. But from what he has showed me in our time spent together, he will graduate sooner than later to free range! 😁

Puppies have lots of energy that needs burning otherwise destructive behaviour will most likely happen! Physical as well as mental exercises combined is great! Mental exercise also includes training, not just toys!🔥

Training in a new area/setting where there are so many new distractions is called conditioning!

It is raining here but we still have energy that needs to be burned off. So here we are! Some dogs love these kong toys, while others aren’t very interested in them. Just have to find what mental stimulating toys your dog prefers as there are so many different styles!
