Sometimes you just gotta do what needs to be done to get the horse comfortable. This old mare has a super bum knee, but she is a doll so I do her in my lap instead.

Western Canadian Farriers Association (WCFA) 3 day mega clinic was a huge success. I learned an overwhelming amount from incredible farriers and mentors in the world of farriery. Continuing education, gaining more skills, meeting other farriers in the area is all so we can better out industry and do right by the horse. Thank you to the WCFA team that brought this all together, we appreciate your hard work and thank you to the sponsors who contributed to help make this happen. Thank you to the Clinicians, you were all incredible and I learned so much. I am looking forward to the next one!

This is a hind foot maintained on a 6 week schedule. The trim is nice and tidy because the foot doesn't get out of control before the next cycle. Keep your horses on a proper 6-8 week cycle. Maintain hoof your horses hoof health by staying on top of your farrier appointments. If the foot looks like it needs to be trimmed, then you have waited too long.

Another awesome contest at the Wildrose Blacksmithing Championships hosted by Timber River Station organized by North 49 Farriers. Huge thank you to Lynn Fleury and Calder Morris for striking for me. I would not have made it through without you guys. Thank you to all of our sponsors for helping to make this happen and the wonderful stewards for keeping everything rolling. Everyone did an incredible job this weekend and we should all be proud of our accomplishments.

Getting slowly back to work after a riding accident I had 3 weeks ago. I've definitely had my fair share of minis this week. So glad these little guys are so well behaved.
