I apologize to anyone who I have forgotten … I have had quite a few cancellations and rebookings with the weather and fitting in vacations. Bare with me ! In the process of fixing my scheduling to accommodate more clients.

list of excuses based on the month of the year 😂 sent to me by a fellow trainer… things we put up as trainers lol

People are full of excuses!

The cycle down here is:

January: I’m just getting things organized and recovering financially after the holidays.

February: it’s cold.

March: we will be out of town for a week for spring break.

April: they’ve finally started getting it together and the spring show season is nearly over already.

May: I’ll have time to ride more over the summer when I’m out of school, my kid is out of school, it stays light longer, etc.

June: I can’t ride much right now because we are going out of town.

July: We are just so busy over the summer. We will start back onto a schedule as soon as the kids are back in school and we have a normal routine.

August: It’s hot, the kids are starting back to school, etc.

September: I want to show (you haven’t ridden for almost three months).

October: makes it to some lessons and two shows, doesn’t win, gets upset.

November: We are getting busy with the holidays coming up:

December: we will ride more after new years.

Repeat.

I was today years old when I found out what this bump on my horses neck is called … the vets just told me that it was possible trauma… but there’s actual meaning behind it !

It’s called a prophets bump…

With my stud sarge, spending time with your horses is more important then some people think. If they have a connection and bond built on the ground first it will always translate into the saddle making for a better overall ride or start and much more cooperative animal.

We always have to remind ourselves that training takes patients if your in a rush it won’t work listen to your horses body language and what they are trying to tell you. Good horsemen and women listen to their horses needs and respond with the correct methods. Here I’m spending time getting to know my weanling and how he responds to pressure and release. The line is loose in my hand if I ever had to let go for any reason.
