Greta is a fun little lady in the 1.5 year old range! She is sweet and snuggly but also has a sassy and energetic side! You should see how speedy she is when she gets the zoomies 😆 This girl loves her people and wants to be involved in everything you do. She is fearless, highly food motivated, loves learning tricks and would even enjoy something like agility!

✅Greta is totally potty trained
✅ Really good with all people and fantastic with little kids
✅ Socialized with cats and dogs of all sizes
✅ Knows her name, sit and lie down very well. Started learning shake a paw, spin and sit pretty 🤩
✅ Crate training is a work in progress as she would much prefer to be with her people!

It wasn’t long Henry (now Tippy) was on adoption trial but when you know you know! We are so happy to see this handsome guy go to such an amazing home and as I saw today he is more than spoiled!

We feel extremely blessed to always be supported by Volunteers from the incredible company Cenovus !! They are also allowing us to have funding / grant opportunities to support some of our extensive & continuous vet bills to support all these dogs in need . Welcome Jet! This handsome guy is around a year old and is a transfer from another rescue where he has had no interest in 7 months. Hes a lovely guy who’s kind and gentle and gets along well with all the dogs he meets. We suspect her will do fine with cats also.

This week we had the amazing opportunity to bring some puppies into a school to educate all of the students on everything to do with dog rescue & why we do what we do! We are so pleased to have had this opportunity as educating people on rescue is very important to us.
A huge thank-you going out to Cortney for arranging this and asking us to come ! 😍🐾

….. and here is “Harvey” 🐾😍 Available for adoption!!

This boy was born November 24th, 2024. He came with our large 15 dog intake from the reservation in Saskatchewan. He was 1/4 of his litter. We do have photos of both parents! He’s definitely a Heeler X. We were slow to post him as his foster mama quickly learned that he is different . After an extensive vet appt today it was confirmed that Harvey is indeed Deaf! Luckily his foster mom is incredible and has already been teaching him sign language and he’s catching on fantastic. Most dogs do better with sign anyways ! His foster mom says he’s excellent off leash and stays right with her. Some people choose to use a vibrating e-collar off leash or to stimulate to help the dog to know when to come.

✅ House Training started, he’s doing an excellent job of going outside!
✅ Sleeping through the night in a crate
✅Gets along with other dogs & all people .

All of our dogs go out on Adoption trial for up to 2 weeks before any commitment is needed, we supply everything needed for the dog during this trial period!! Included in our adoption fees are Their vaccination in full, a microchip, multiple de-wormings & health checks . We also pay to cover their alteration (Neuter/Spay) when they are old enough! Our adoption fee is only $550.00. If you add up all those vet bills up after de-worming, microchip, health checks, neuter / spay & their multiple sets of vaccinations, the adoption fee just covers a small portion of the vet bills we put into these rescue babies ♥️

Well Janie (now Bella) is officially adopted. This family is a perfect example as to why we have adoption trials. They tried one of our other puppies and it just wasn’t the right fit which is absolutely okay! That didn’t deter them and once they met Janie however that was it. She fit perfectly into their home like she has always been there and we were ecstatic to finalize her adoption this evening!

Little Franklin now Brady has officially found his forever home! Despite being the last of this litter to find a permanent home, this little guy was anything but the best! We are so excited for his future!

Well first signs of Diesel’s adoption trial are promising. He certainly has a nice energy match with Freya the lady of the house! We are very excited to see this progress!

I have no idea how we still have Benjamin. This video pretty much sums up his demeanour. He’s sweet and loving, lower energy, doesn’t like the cold, naps a lot enjoys everyone and everything! He’s used to dogs and cats! Who wouldn’t want this kind sweet little man!

Puppy Update 🚨🚨 Thank-You , Thank-You, Thank-You!!!! Help us name these two babies ! They need a name starting with “F” ! Stay Tuned for more info!

A Shepherd doing what they do best, looking after their kids ♥️ Backing up what I said earlier - Colt is SO gentle with kids & loves spending time with them. This boy is special, he deserves the world! We hope his future home will be active & have kids that he can love - just like he loves my kids . This boy needs a foster - but we will also look at adoption application for him! As long as they understand he will have future appointments etc to attend ( at our cost of course!).

One of the many reasons I love Okotoks is running into adopted dogs like Ray at the dog park! He looks absolutely amazing!
