📸 Meet Paige V, a wonderful pet care specialist in our team.

🐾Paige V is a true cat lover and has two adorable feline companions named Darkside and Jack. But her love for animals doesn't stop there; she also shares her life with two amazing Leonburgers, Emo and Massey. Paige has been an essential part of our team for over a year, and her dedication shines through in the care she provides for our furry guests. Paige's favorite part of her job is witnessing the daily improvements in the dogs behaviors and their eagerness to learn new commands. She takes immense joy in being a part of their training journey. Beyond her love for animals, Paige has a passion for cars. Outside of work, you'll often find her at car meets or engaging in anything related to automobiles. She has a bright future ahead and dreams of working with dogs or exploring a career in the automotive industry. Despite being a cat person at heart, Paige can't resist the charm of dogs. Their infectious smiles and wiggly bums never fail to bring happiness to her day. This summer, Paige proudly graduated from high school, marking an exciting milestone in her life. We're incredibly fortunate to have Paige as part of our team, and her dedication to the well-being of our furry guests is truly commendable. You will find Paige working hands on with your pups or helping the client care team grab your dogs at checkout or check in🐾

📸Meet Karsen one of our amazing client care specialists.

🐾Karsen has been a valuable member of Gus's Pet Resort for nearly 4 months. She brings a passion for animals and a love for people to our team. At home, Karen has two adorable dogs. Finn, a Lab cross, and Apple, a Bichon cross, brighten her days with their playful antics. Additionally, Karsen is a proud cat mom to three feline friends: Cherry, Milo, and Oli. They bring joy and cuddles to her home. Currently studying French at university. Karsen is dedicated to expanding her language skills. She's bilingual in French and English, which adds an extra flair to her communication abilities. Outside of work, Karsen also works as a lash tech. She's passionate about helping people feel their best and showcasing their beauty. When she's not working or studying, Karsen enjoys spending time riding horses a true equestrian at heart. She also cherishes the moments with her best friends, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Karsen's favorite part of her job is getting to see all the dogs every day. Their wagging tails and playful energy bring her so much happiness.🐾

Our 6-week Puppy Preschool program involves working on leash skills like this. It starts with indoor work and moves outside, where these same skills are transfer to ensuring these puppies are able to focus on their owners in the “real world” amid all the distractions that are outside. Rocket is on his last week of Puppy Preschool! Off-leash training doesn’t actually start off-leash! A long leash is your best pal while training your pup’s recall (and a high value treat or toy). Recall is the most important skill a dog can have, and implementing this in puppies during their most influential development stages in the key!
