Our planned V litter is a repeat breeding we did four years ago with our Dutch import Camilo Matice VD Chesannehof to the Swedish import Grasidigens Myla Ylasdotter.
This pairing produced six bird hunting machines, one of them being our Four Point’s Good Luck Charm (Vespa).
Pups should arrive end of March.

Temperatures are dropping and our hunting season will be over in the next few weeks. I zipped out for the last few hours of light, my shotgun in hand with Eden and Poet leading the way. Eden has been a force this season and she’s been teaching our younger dogs the art of ruffed grouse hunting. Today was a day I wished someone was hunting with me to record how everything played out on this beautiful bird.
Turns out that moment was meant for just me and my dogs.

I’ve been back from Poland for two weeks now with our newest addition, La River Amelialand FCI.
Her breeder Joanna, owns Clooney Matice VD Chesannehof, a littermate to our Camilo Matice VD Chesannehof. It was highly entertaining to see how similar those two boys are!
Another pup from the litter was heading out to Norway, so I was able to meet Jeanette and her husband, and make another connection there.
We are fortunate to have been able to developed friendships over the years with some great owners and breeders of Small Munsterlanders across Europe. Especially those with the same goals for the breed. Much time was spent talking shop about our beloved hunting companions!

La River Amelialand FCI “River”.

I had my name down for a pup out of Mailo Bailey V.D Chesannehof two years ago. Her first breeding didn’t take and so I waited.
Her grandsire is Munsterkullens Riddar Kato, owned by my lovely friends the Hermansson’s who helped me with the logistics of bringing Herrskapets Lönn over this spring. Kato is also the sire to our Dutch import Camilo Matice V.D Chesannehof.
And ever since the Chesannehof Kennel bred to a male named Bowie, Mailo’s sire, I wanted a descendant of his.
Tommy Du Domaine Du Grand Marais with his long list of titles, hunting ability and conformation, is just the cherry on top.

The S litter turned one today!
Here is Four Point's Stokin' The Flame "Stoke". A male out of the Four Point's Basil Thyme & Four Point's Good Luck Charm pairing. Stoke came back to us a month ago. Settled into the routine pretty quick, and got his first pheasant yesterday.
This boy is headed to Idaho beginning of December!

I often hunt alone, and truthfully I prefer it that way. Just me and my dogs.
This means I have no one to take a photo after an epic sharp-tailed grouse hunt with Alta. So here’s a cell phone propped up on the endgate photo.

Let’s not talk about my flubbed shot for a hat trick today.
