Spots are filling up for the July 20 Kaspian Dressage Collage. We will be sending out the schedule Thursday July 18 after the closing date July 17.

Entries are open for the Kaspian Dressage Collage on July 20!

I've had a lot of interest, so please get your entries in promptly. Test 2 in an level and style is the chosen test this month. Any other tests will fall into the test of choice class. Working equitation is two classes (dressage and ease of handing), so please keep that in mind when registering and paying. We are going to limit rider/horse combinations to 3 classes at this time.

It is that time of year again when the honey bees tend to swarm and I have lost some. If you spot a swarm or they occupy a place where you do not want them get in touch with me so I can come and safely recover them and put them back in my bee yard where they belong.

Kaspian Equestrian is hiring for summer 2024!

We are looking for competent and adaptable individuals wanting to experience the wide variety of responsibilities on a farm. Horse and tractor experience is an asset, but not necessary if you are willing to learn. Ranging from part- to full- time depending on demands and season with very flexible hours. Everyone will have opportunities to try all variety of tasks but we are potentially hiring two people (even better if you can fill both!).

Job #1 focuses on: feeding and caring for horses, yard and barn maintenance, preparing for hosted events and shows.

Job #2 focuses on: metal and wood shop fabrication, operating and maintaining equipment, assisting with larger upkeep and improvement projects.

Commitment from May to September is expected with potential to extend into winter.

Success and a purposeful life is the continuous desire to improve upon the programs and challenges you are faced with.

Version # 3 of the take down 13 foot Garrocha pole for La Garrocha style riding. Shipping restrictions for length of a package is 78.75 inches so to facilitate shipping a 13 foot pole (78+78 inches), and with the assistance of a machine shop, I have designed a threaded coupler that will allow a full length pole to be shipped at a reasonable cost.

One is light stain with a white coupler and one in dark Spanish oak stain with a black coupler.

Over the years I have developed and freely shared the design of many different pieces of equipment to improve our success as a community in the horse back archery sport, These included thumb guards and stable ambidextrous hip quiver systems, target and lane systems, HBA specific arrows and speed nocks to name a few of them.

The Kaspian Speed Nocks that I developed a few years ago and have been manufacturing here in Olds for distribution are now being produced for worldwide distribution by Vermil Archery. I shared the concept with Vermil to save myself the time required to shape each nock here myself and have been working with them for about a year to assist them in the final design leading up to their production launch this month.

We are a distributor for Vermil so you can still order them from us here at Kaspian or directly from Vermil but for dealers you can now purchase them in bulk directly from Vermil.

It is exciting and rewarding for me to see these nocks being shared with the world.

June 3 and September 2

We offer classes in classical dressage, western dressage, working equitation, prix caprilli and more! If you have a test you would like to ride please ask us.

We will send out a reminder about entry forms and fees one month prior to the show date. Please do not send in anything before that. You can check www.kaspianequestrian.com/shows-entries for the prizelist closer to the date.

*We are hosting our Annual Pumpkin Shoot yet again!*
We hope to see ALL of our archers come for our fun and challenging halloween themed shoot! We will be hosting inside due to the weather.

Come at 9am to get warmed up for a 10am start on the competition. We will be running the IHAA postal match walk and trot for this month and doing lots of ground archery for those without horses. So please, come in costume to win a spooky prize and come have some fun! Please bring your own lunch, we will also be having dinner in the cozy yurt, our head chef Kenton will be the grill master so bring your own meat to be grilled, and a side for potluck.
Cant wait to see you all there!
