🐝 Location, Location, Location! 🐝

Choosing the perfect location is KEY to your bees' health and honey production! Here's what to consider:

Just like us, bees have specific needs when it comes to their home. A good location will keep them happy and productive.

Here's your checklist:

* Sunlight: Morning sun is crucial! It warms the hive, encouraging the bees to get to work early. Aim for at least 6-8 hours of sunlight, preferably in the morning. Too much afternoon sun, especially in hot climates, can overheat the hive.

* Wind Protection: Strong winds can chill the hive and make it difficult for bees to fly. A location sheltered from prevailing winds, like near a fence, shed, or hedgerow, is ideal. Just make sure it doesn't create too much shade!

* Water Source: Bees need a reliable water source nearby. A birdbath, pond, or even a damp spot in the garden will do. If there isn't a natural source, provide one. Bees can drown easily, so consider adding pebbles or cork to the water so they have something to land on.

🍯 Honey-Glazed Chicken Stir-Fry 🍯

This recipe for chicken stir-fry is a quick and easy way to make a delicious and healthy meal. The honey glaze adds a touch of sweetness to the dish, while the vegetables provide a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals.

Yields: 4 servings Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

*1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
*1 tablespoon cornstarch
*1/2 teaspoon salt
*1/4 teaspoon black pepper
*1 tablespoon vegetable oil
*1 cup broccoli florets
*1 cup carrots, sliced
*1/2 cup snow peas
*1/4 cup honey, flavored if you wish
*1/4 cup soy sauce
*2 cloves garlic, minced
*1 tablespoon ginger, minced
*1/4 cup water

Instructions:

In a medium bowl, combine the chicken, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.

Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the broccoli, carrots, and snow peas to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, or until slightly softened.

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.

Pour the honey mixture over the chicken and vegetables and cook for 1 minute, or until the sauce has thickened.

Stir in the water and cook for 1 more minute, or until the vegetables are tender.

Serve immediately over rice or noodles.

Wintertime doesn't mean hibernation for our hardworking honeybees! 🐝❄️

While they may not be out gathering nectar and pollen, they're busy forming a tight cluster inside the hive to keep warm. The bees in the center of the cluster shiver to generate heat, while those on the outside act as insulators.

They also eat honey stored from the summer to fuel their energy and maintain the hive temperature around a cozy 95°F. 🍯🔥
