Meet Tash: The Sweet and Gentle Soul 🐾💕

Tash is a loving and tender-hearted kitty with a gentle spirit. Though she can be a bit skittish at times—especially around loud noises—she absolutely adores head scratches and pets. She’s the kind of cat who enjoys quiet moments and a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and loved.

Her story is one of resilience: Tash was found running from a coyote before being rescued by a kind community member. Despite her tough start, she’s blossomed into a sweet girl who’s ready to find her forever home.

Prefers her own space away from other cats but is peaceful and non-confrontational

Meet Davey: The Diamond in the Rough 💎🐾

Hi there, I’m Davey, and I’m on a journey of transformation that just might make me your perfect feline companion! My story began in December 2020, when I arrived at the shelter as a shy 3-month-old stray kitten. Over the years, I’ve grown into a handsome adult cat with a big heart—and I’m finally ready to find my forever home.

At first, I wasn’t too sure about humans, but thanks to the patience and kindness of some amazing volunteers, I’ve started to come out of my shell. Treats (especially Temptations—yum!) were the key to earning my trust. What began as a cautious nibble during petting sessions has blossomed into me genuinely enjoying head scratches and full-body strokes. Sometimes, I even welcome pets without a treat bribe!

Now, let’s talk about my ideal home:
🐾 I’d love to be adopted with one of my shelter buddies or join a home with confident, friendly cats. I adore my feline friends—headbutts and side rubs are my love language! (Hint: Devlin or Zack & Elmer would make great companions.)
🐾 A quiet, peaceful environment is where I’ll truly thrive. Loud noises and busy households aren’t my style.
🐾 No young kids, please—I prefer calm interactions, and I want everyone to stay safe and happy.

I’ll be honest: I may never be the cuddly lap cat you dream of, but I promise to fill your home with my unique charm and quiet companionship. My progress has been amazing, and with a little patience, I’m confident I can continue to grow and love the humans in my life.

Peavey’s story begins outside the Peavey Mart in Orillia, where she was discovered as a scared and shy young cat. Though her life so far has been filled with uncertainty, this beautiful short-haired, diluted tortoiseshell girl has so much potential to blossom with the right family.

Born around April 2023, Peavey isn’t mean—she’s just deeply afraid. What she needs most is a calm and nurturing home filled with patient, understanding souls who can give her the time and love to learn that people can be trusted. With a little TLC, we’re confident that Peavey will transform into your most loving and loyal companion.

Because of her timid nature, Peavey has been deemed an “underdog,” meaning we’re hoping she finds her forever home as soon as possible to begin her journey toward healing and trust. Could you be the one to show Peavey that the world can be a safe and loving place?

These two adorable boys spent quite a while at the shelter, but thanks to our holiday campaign, they’ve found their forever home! 🏡✨ We couldn’t be happier to see how loved they are and how wonderfully they’re thriving. Just look at these handsome fellas! 😻

Kittens and puppies should not be treated as Christmas gifts! If you don't understand this, then you shouldn't have one. Every year after the holidays, we receive numerous requests to take in cats. Please be mindful of the lives of these animals.
