The Stanton Show Horses crew had a great show at Summerama ! Thank you Area 3 Promotional club for putting every ounce of energy and thought into making this show amazing, it really was!

Firstly, every rider and horse in my group had top three placing, personal best rides and some circuit awards over the weekend and I am so proud of the hard work each team has put in to making it happen.

Secondly, I could not be more blessed with the group of people I have at these shows to work with. Every client is a pleasure to work with individually and the whole group supports each other day in and day out. You all make horse shows a joy to be at, thank you so so much. I couldn’t ask for a better barn family!

And lastly, there are not enough words to thank Abby Schaap for the work and dedication she has given over the years to this business and group of riders. You give every rider the encouragement they need to hear and the horses the attention they deserve.

Home from our first Ontario show of the season and it was a great one !!
Top placings for everyone and some new experiences in our group made for a really fun show ! Congratulations to all !

Home and settled from our week at Level 1 Championships, and what a great week it was !

Sadie and sheza chocolate kat had a great show placing 6th in the ranch riding, 2nd nsba and finalist in the trail.

Kristin and strippininmyblujeans had their first show together and made it look easy ! They had great gos in the horsemanship and trail with great scores. This team improves on every ride!

Jessica and select this chip came out strong in all their events and were just outside of finals with their scores.

I was so proud to watch this group grow over the week both in the saddle and in their mindset and focus. Looks like a great season ahead !

“Coal” is a barn favourite but his owner is going off to college. Coal shows in showmanship, equitation, trail, horsemanship and was a finalist at the youth world show this year in the trail. Coal is as quiet as they come and would be suitable for any level of rider, he’s the same at home as he is at the shows. Hauls great, no maintenance, no spook, no vices.

Another great show by Area 3 promotional club !
Everyone from the Stanton group had a great show with big improvements to their scores, placings and personal goals.
Thank you is never enough for the people that make these shows possible and the people that keep the farm going while we are away. Special thanks to Abby Schaap and Britt Stanton for keeping the horses and myself taken care of, it couldn’t be done without you !

Home from our first Ontario show of the year, thank you to Area 3 Promotional Club for another great show.
Lots of firsts for our group this show with new classes, new maneuvers, new goals and of course placings !
I am very impressed with how everyone adapted to change and stuck to their plans and goals for what their personal growth would need at this show and wow did it pay off!
Multiple top placings, best personal go’s and lots of fun had by all!
Thank you back home for taking great care while we are away, and thank you Abby Schaap for all your hard work!!

Home from a nice week at WEC! This horse show was full of great experiences, goals and bonding moments for both people and horses !

✨Big congratulations to Sandra and Totally Undressed on their top ten in the select Eq! Also very proud of this team for solid patterns in the horsemanship and showmanship!
✨ Mel and Machine Maker got the full experience of a big show and had some of their personal best rides in the Hunter Under saddle and very solid showmanship! Congratulations on your debut !!
✨ Ally and Strippininmyblujeans had amazing rides in eq, hormsenaship, trail and showmanship. All classes brought great scores and lots of plus’ ! So proud of how hard you have worked to get here !

CQHA is proud to introduce the ten youth members who will represent Canada this summer at the American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup being hosted in Bryan/College Station, Texas, June 29th – July 8th, 2023! This international event is hosted every two years by a different country and involves teams representing sixteen nations!

Team Canada 2023 will be comprised of five riders, two alternate riders, and three horsemanship and leadership development members.

The Riders are named as follows:
Ali Chernoff age 18, from Alberta
Brooklyn Shannon age 17, from Ontario
Emily Yates age 16, from Ontario
Hailey Olsen age 16, from Saskatchewan
Taylor Carney age 18, from Ontario

Alternat Riders are named as follows:
Abigail Dunlevy age 16, of Ontario
Kaidyn Goodwin age 16, from Nova Scotia

Horsemanship and Leadership Development members:
Lauren Irwin age 17, from Ontario

Stanton Show Horses had a great show with lots of success, learning moments, and best of all joy in doing what we loved!

• wins in the trail with both Ally and myself, brought home some money in the jack pot!

Machine Maker owned by Melanie Booth
• wins for Mel and top placings for myself in the Hus
• top three in the equitation bringing home some points for this new team!

“Miles” is a sweet, easy to handle gelding that would be suitable for any level of rider and a trustworthy partner. He has been trained for the HUS and Eq but has also lived as an amateur horse enjoying hacking and low level jumping lessons with no trouble to convert back and forth! He is easy to train and absolutely no spook! Miles is ready to show or to enjoy at home.
