Just arrived and in-store is the Erva copper disc for keeping the water in your bird baths clean.

WHY COPPER: Importantly research by the University of Southampton, UK, shows that copper can virtually eliminate the Influenza A virus within six hours of exposure. This is an especially important finding because a member of this virus family is the virulent Avian Flu strain.

In addition to eliminating bacteria and viruses, copper has also been proven to destroy mold and algae. Adding an Erva Anti-Microbial Bird Bath Disc to your bird baths will facilitate cleansing and contribute to the health and safety of your visiting birds by eliminating water-borne pathogens.

NOTE:Copper will effectively help to control the development of harmful elements, but regular visitors to your bath will constantly bring new contaminants. The Copper Disk is not a substitute for proper cleaning.

Bird House Nature Company invites you to join in SHOP Orillia Small Business Bingo.

Step 1. Obtain a SHOP LOCAL Bingo card from Book Re-View at 43 West Street N, Unit #2, Orillia. Cards are available starting August 1, 2024.
Step 2. Visit each of the 25 businesses on the card, spending a minimum of $5.00 at each location.
Step 3. Present your Bingo card at check out for validation at each business.
Step 4. When your card is full, return your bingo card to the Book Re-View (where you picked it up) to claim your prize.

Shop Local Bingo purchases are valid between August 1-31, 2023.
NOTE: There are 35 Bingo cards available on a first come first served basis.

Summer nights in Orillia are designed for exploring downtown!!!

The Downtown Orillia Business Improvement Area (BIA) is excited to announce the return of the immensely popular Summer Saturday Nights on-street patio program.

Happening every Saturday night from June 29 to Aug. 31 on Mississaga Street in downtown Orillia, this unique outdoor patio program will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Mississaga Street will be closed in two sections. The first section of Mississaga Street to close will be from Peter Street to Front Street and the other section will see Mississaga Street closed from Andrew Street to West Street. Peter Street South will also be closed between Mississaga Street and Colborne Street.

Also a highlight this evening is the July 2024 Art Walk on Peter. Here is your opportunity to meet local artists and their art!

Bird House Nature is open until 8:00pm tonight. As you are exploring the activities on Mississaga Street and Peter Street, be sure to drop by and say hi! We are directly across from Mariposa Market.

Downtown Orillia is the place to be today offering you the Vintage Market vendors on Mississaga Street and Peter Street from 10:00AM - 6PM.

Not to miss today is the Mariposa Folk Festival Downtown Stage hosting musicians starting at 11:30am. The Downtown Stage is located in front of Bird House Nature Company on Mississaga Street.

The much anticipated long weekend arrives with numerous fun packed activities to explore. Compliments of Overview Orillia here is a list:

The midway kicks off Friday June 28 at 3pm!
They run all weekend Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 10pm.
Plus July 1st is our big day!
There is:
1. Pancake breakfast 8am-12pm
2. Wheelie Great Parade 10:30am
3. Children's Village -everything is free from 11am-4pm
4. Midway (inflatables are free from 11am-4pm -after 4pm they become a ticketed ride) otherwise they run 11am-10pm
5. Live Entertainment at the Rotary Aqua Theatre starting at 11am
6. Vendor market 9am-5pm (some stay until the fireworks)
7. Food vendors 11am-10pm
8. Beer Garden by 2 3 2 11am-11pm
