So proud of all the work these teams have done over the past 8 weeks! Watching both handlers and dogs grow their confidence in themselves and one another has been our pleasure. The flyball skills are just the icing on the cake!

Our Flyball region is small and we want to show support to Maple Leaps Flyball Club in NS. They are doing a fundraiser to help raise funds for their club. They have been a tremendous help to our club this past year with training and with racing.

So we would like to share with you this amazing raffle they are doing. Hope you will support.

We were very fortunate to have three of our members and their dogs to attend an Aaron Robbins Flyball seminar this past weekend hosted by Amanda and her Maple Leaps Flyball Club in Nova Scotia.

We had a great weekend learning and can’t wait to put the knowledge we learnt to use over the winter training months.

Thanks again Amanda for hosting and allowing us to attend.

Freddy Flyers have nominated Chip for 2024 MVP for Region 10. Chip has shown that he is deserving of the 2024 MVP from his love of the sport. He took to the sport quickly earning his FD title at only 20 months of age back in 2018. This boy is the definition of a point and shoot dog. He will run for anyone, in any position, he has run on many open teams with multiple clubs switching from 2-hole boxes to 4-hole boxes and still maintains his perfect box turn. Chip has been a staple in our new club as our most solid dog and because of him, we have been able to grow our new club with him helping train our new and upcoming flyball dogs, two of which earned their FD titles back in the spring and one this fall. Without him this would have been a struggle for our new club. Chip has helped coach newbies, proof beginners, refine seasoned racers, and given new handlers the experience of racing a dog. For all these reasons and many more we have nominated Chip for 2024 MVP for Region 10.

We are beyond excited to announce that our club got a new puppy!!! Ok Julie got a new puppy but she will be a Freddy Flyers dog!

Everyone please welcome Good2Go’s You Can’t Stop Me Now - RZA!

RZA is an 11 week old (dob July 26th) sport mix (Staffy Jack BC Whippet Rat). She is very sweet and fluffy. She already loves her tug and her forever home. We are very happy for Julie and can’t wait to see what this puppy will do.

Happy 7th Birthday to Chip!
He is an essential part of our club, our most solid and consistent dog, he helps train not only our new and upcoming dogs but also new handlers.

Wednesday night our level one Flyball classes started. Here are a few of them just starting with learning hop and overs and restrain recalls.

We are excited to announce that we are GROWING!!!!
Tonight we invited Matt and Abby with Sadie, who just finished our level 2 sponsorship program, to become Associate Members with our club.
Also tonight Sarah and Kerstyn with Denver and Robin with Finnick and Luka (who is missing from the photo) have been voted in as Full Members with the club.

As a new club that just start a little over 14 months ago with only 4 members, this is huge for us as we are so excited to see not only our club grow but it’s also great news for Region 10 too.

We aren’t stopping here either, as we have an 8 week class that is completely full starting up this week as well.

Another highlight from the tournament last weekend by FAME in Petitcodiac.

Sadie surprised us all. We have struggled with ball work with her and during green dogs she not only carried the ball but she got it out of the box, over three jumps and took it all the way into the run back. It has to be noted that it wasn’t for her regular handler either, but maybe her new handler. Hahaha

Then last night at practice she did restrain recalls against another dog and never even looked sideways. She really does like running for her dad.

This little girl has come a long way from being recruited at the Home Show for just being so darn cute.

We are at Carleton County Flyball tournament this weekend and we are so excited to share that Skor did Green Dogs this morning and he did his first ever full run today. We are proud of his little dude and him putting all the pieces together.
