Hello our furry friend lovers! Easter is only a week away, and with the Easter bunny so close to hopping his way into our homes we wanted to take this time to remind everyone how much of a huge commitment taking a real bunny into your home can be!

A bunny is a 6-13 year commitment, so getting one for Easter means having an easter bunny in your house daily for many years to come! They require extensive play and stimulation as well as a strict diet of hay, kibble, and fresh vegetables to ensure proper nutrition. They are also susceptible to illnesses and it can be hard to find a vet near you who sees bunny patients! These adorable little guys are also chewers so you have to make sure you bunny proof your bunny’s space!

💅🏻😻🐾 CLEAN YOUR BEANS DAY! 🐾😻💅🏻

February 12th from 11-1pm at The Fox Hollow Pet Boutique, and from 3-5pm at K9 Fit!

As some of you know, I volunteer with a small group of kitty loving rescue ladies in Northumberland and Trent Hills area🐾❤️. For the last couple of years, we have been doing our very best to help with the HUGE problem that we have in our community with stray cats and kittens. Sadly, there are very little resources for them, leaving them helpless, cold, and reproducing at an alarming rate. We have quietly been trapping, fostering, fully vetting, and finding forever homes for those who have been unclaimed. We also do everything we can for feral cats by having them fully vetted, and socialized when possible. Sadly 99% of the kitties we’ve taken in have not had homes come forward, but we’ve made sure that they all find/have found the very best forever homes possible, either on our own or with the help of our amazing local rescue partners.

The pleas for help literally never end 🥺💔 and in order to be able to continue helping these deserving little souls, we will be hosting some fundraisers to raise funds for their spays, neuters, vaccines, microchips, and various other medical bills, sometimes including emergency visits. We are always happy to show proof of vetting as well from the wonderful Spay and Neuter clinic in Trenton, Quinte Regional Pet Hospital, and our amazing mobile vet Michelle C.

On Sunday, February 12th, we are hosting a *Cat only* nail trim day from 3-5pm here at K9 Fit (14352 County road 2 Brighton). 100% of funds raised will go towards helping more kitties in need in our community!

*Nails will be trimmed by Veterinary Technician, Jess!
*All cats MUST be safely contained in a carrier to be serviced. No exceptions.
*$15 payment by cash please!
*No appointment necessary, but please pull right up to the fenced in area of the back building, and wait in your vehicle until you’re greeted at the door before entering.

We can’t wait to meet your kitties!😻
