354 DAYS SPENT HOMELESS: Thats not a typo. Maxine, has been with our rescue since February 17, 2023, almost one year. It pains us that she has been with our rescue for so long, it pains us even more, to think of how many dogs we couldn't save over the last year, because she was still taking up a coveted foster spot.

354 days is a long time without a family, we need to rally our community and find Maxine a home of her very own.

Maxine was pulled from a local shelter last year, she was found as a stray and nobody ever claimed her.

And what she needs is the following:
Maxine wants to be part of a pack.
This is a dog that absolutely needs other dogs. She is a fan of people too, with proper introductions she will be your very best friend. BUT, her family must include other dogs as that is the environment she thrives in. She is not a city dog so living out of the city, with a fenced yard to run in would make her very happy! Due to some anxiety, Maxine's perfect home would not include young children as sudden movements tend to frighten her.

We are waiving Maxine's adoption fee in the hopes that a multi dog household would consider adding another, and if you own a doggie daycare? Even better, she is the poster child for that environment.

Maxine deserves a home of her very own, at 354 days and counting, its time, for her to go home.

Update: Pending Adoption

Cash has found himself in a situation that we all hope never happens. His owner has had to move into the Alzheimer's ward at a facility and the family was unable to care for Cash. This has left Mr. Cash looking for a new home.

Cash is a 5 year old Rough Collie. He is great with people and gets along well with other dogs. He has a health check appointment with our veterinarian this week and is booked into our groomer for a much needed bath/brush out.

Your $700 adoption fee ensures that your new pet comes with the following:
* Full Vet check
* Microchipped
* Vaccinated
* Royal Canin new pet kit, which includes the first month of food.

* Outrun team members are available after the adoption to support the adopters and make the transition to the pup‘s new home as seamless as possible.

Referrals are appreciated & for the summer any successful referrals get you a free week of regular services! Make sure to tell your Oshawa friends & family about me so their pups don’t end up missing out on these amazing adventures & making new fur friends. We specialize in hour long off leash adventures at Oshawa Harmony Dog Park but we also have some freedom in the afternoons for leashed adventures if needed 🐾

On Saturday May 27th the unthinkable happened to Jesslyn, Ashlyn and Bryson. After having dinner post recital, they came home to find their house in flames. Luckily a neighbour called and the emergency team was there on the scene. Charlie and Dolly were home, and luckily were saved by the K9 unit, but Charlie is in need of extensive medical care and attention right now. Charlie & Dolly are dogs I walk every week ANd their owner Jesslyn is someone I grew up with since I was 3. I cannot imagine the stress she is under right now & the heart ache.

This is every pet owners worst nightmare so please keep Charlie in your thoughts. If you’re able to help there is a go fund me link in my bio to help with Charlie’s vet bills during this stressful & painful time.

It’s a full time job snuggling this crew this weekend. It’s a funny weekend bc there’s a lot of ‘sets’ of sibling dogs so Martha & Craig, Charlie & Dolly, Gordie & Jelly & of course Lady & Brume. Korra came for 24 hours too, and Sunny came to play today. I kinda like it when it’s in sets 💜

All users of the Harmony Valley dog Park (& Durham residents even if they don’t have a dog!) need to email [email protected] to oppose extending Rossland road through the off leash dog park to Townline road. This dog park is a gem in Oshawa & one of only 2 naturalized off leash dog areas in Durham. Please help us protect it. Thank you in advance, takes only a second but could help save our park.
