Miss Zelda. She's 2.5yrs old and going strong. She's helping me with my grief tonight. She's a very special girl. (Parents: Spock and Perdita...both passed) . Every rat had a name. I loved every single one and they loved me back. There isn't a single word in existence that can express how I feel about these small creatures.

For everyone wanting girls. Here's a sneak peek at what you get when you get one of my boys.

Boys are lazy, chonky, super cuddly, loving, and affectionate. Imagine coming home after a hectic day of work and cuddling with one of these sweet boys. Instead of chasing after playful, excited, high-energy girls, all the stresses of the day will melt away with a cozy boy hug.

Welcome to A Mischief of Pocket Puppies Rattery, a place where rats are breed for love, with love.

A bit about me: I have many years of breeding experience with small animals. However, my focus has been on Rats since Feb. 2022.

What you receive when you get rats from me:

* 24/7 support for the life of your rat
* Health and Temperament Guarantee

Rats must go in pairs at the very least. 3 is better as they are extremely social animals.

I am a hobby breeder. I do not over breed and I do not do it for financial gain. I breed because I love rats and to help educate people, to remove the unfair stigma rats carry.

Rats are intelligent, clean, empathetic, very affectionate, and amazingly wonderful for kids.

My rats are part of the family, and therefore, my rattery resides in my living room, where they have constant exposure to everything, including the dog.

Even as a breeder, I will never claim to know it all. I'm always striving to do it better. Always willing to learn. Such as moving from aspen bedding to bioactive because of the extra enrichment it provides. It doesn't come without challenges, but I'm up for it.

Every year, I also take 3 of my breeders in for vet health checks, making sure everything is tikaddy boo.

Sweet Baxter. I didn't know I'd be coming home with you when I entered the north oshawa petsmart (an all female store). Somehow, you ended up there all alone. That was approximately 2 yrs ago. I never knew exactly your age, but we loved you very much. You made it to an old man, we could tell. Tonight, you took your last breath cuddled in my arms. Please give Mila hugs for me. You truly were a special boy. I don't know how much more loss my heart can take 💔

Sad news. If you have gotten rats from me, chances are you have met my Mila. My 15-year-old girl was diagnosed last month with terminal cancer. She has been on palliative care ever since. The cancer has ravaged her. She has become a shell of who she once was. The cancer is growing too fast. She's been on prednisone to slow its growth, but as of Friday, we have discontinued it due to the side effects outweighing the benefits.

It's with a shattered heart i announce,
This coming Monday, we will be taking her to to help her cross the rainbow bridge.

I ask at this time to give our family some privacy while we spend our last day with her and process our grief.

Here we have Mr Frodo Baggins once again. He is eagerly awaiting the birth of his 2nd litter. This is Narcissa (2nd pic) she was one of mine also. Same situation as with Wilma (previous post). I borrowed her back from her family to use for breeding. She's a mink velveteen (Frodo is daddy for this littler also). They both also carry the downunder and silvermane and have dumbo ears. We are currently on baby watch. These babies should be available around the Christmas holidays.

Frodo is currently paired with Wilma (2nd pic). She was one of mine. I borrowed her back from her family to use for breeding. She's a black hooded variegated velveteen with a downunder belly. (Frodo carries the gene). They both also carry silvermane and have dumbo ears. These babies will also be available in the early new year.
