🐾 Fighting for Pets, Pet Parents, and the Pet Industry 🐾
This past Tuesday, Donna Benson, founder of Touch Of A Paw Spa, joined fellow Pets Canada delegates at Queen’s Park for a day of productive discussions with Ontario’s Members of Provincial Parliament.

These meetings focused on critical issues that impact pets, their families, and the businesses that care for them.

A heartfelt thank you to all the MPPs who took the time to meet with us and listen. Your support is invaluable and plays a key role in shaping a brighter, more affordable future for pets and their families.

Together, we’re advocating for:

1️⃣ Removing PST/GST on pet food to make pet care more affordable for every family.

2️⃣ Including pets in emergency evacuations because pets are family and they also deserve protection in times of crisis.

Get your little artists ready for some spooky fun! At Touch Of A Paw Spa, we’re thrilled to launch our Halloween Colouring Contest, where kids can let their creativity shine and join in the festive spirit. Here’s how it works:

1. Download & Print ONE (1), yes just ONE (1), of the attached Colouring Pages – We’re providing 4 unique Halloween-themed colouring pages for you to choose one (1) image, anyone your child wants. The images feature adorable Halloween Cats dressed up for the season! Download, print, and let the colouring begin! Don’t have a printer? No problem—stop by the spa to pick up a copy!

2. Creativity Encouraged! – Kids don’t need to stay within the lines or stick to the original designs. Let them add, change, and reimagine the artwork however they like. We want to see their creativity unleashed!

3. Submit the Masterpiece – Once your child (up to 12 years old) has finished their masterpiece, snap a photo of their work and send it to us via DM, email, or simply bring it to Touch of a Paw Spa.

Did you know that these October nights offer a chance to spot one of my favorite constellations, Canes Venatici, the Hunting Dogs, with the naked eye? 🐶✨ This constellation, a pair of celestial hunting dogs chasing the Great Bear, can be seen on clear nights just beneath the Big Dipper!

At Touch Of A Paw Spa, we take inspiration from the stars, making sure every pet shines bright after a grooming session—just like the stars of Canes Venatici in the night sky! At Touch of a Paw Spa, we proudly wear orange today to honour the children, survivors, families, and communities affected by the residential school system.

The devastating legacy of the residential school system and the heart-wrenching discoveries of unmarked graves remind us of the pain and suffering endured by Indigenous communities. Current-day Child welfare malpractice continues to severely impact many communities.

We all have the urgent responsibility to ensure that these injustices stop and never happen again. Together, we must listen, learn, and stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples.
