No Bad Dog Academy & pet sitting

No Bad Dog Academy & pet sitting Their is no such thing as a BAD DOG. Nine times out of ten it’s the handler / owner NOT the DOG ! I’m a dog trainer / behaviourist if you want to call it that.

I work with many dogs from rescues,to aggressive to passive aggressive dogs.I currently have 4 of my own dogs that have different issues that I correct and deal with daily.From.Fighting to food guarding to insecure or fearful dogs we can find the problem and make a solution together. Nine times out of ten it’s the handler / owner not the dog. Dogs feed off people, that being said your reaction and

mind set creates the action and mind set of your dog. I help rehabilitate dogs I train people ! We are currently offering puppy classes as well as training in , resource guarding , aggression, towards ppl and or dogs . Anxiety, excessive barking and or destroying the house issues. I’ve taken a few online and in person courses in dog psychology as well as positive dog training. I’ve combined both courses into one with my own personal touches I’ve used with my own dogs. I have a few staff that have taken courses as well. Currently I have 5 trainers on board, who are more then happy to help with you doggy problems. Big or small we try and conquer them all. SERVICES

I offer dog rehabilitation with owner and dog. I work with aggressive dogs of all shapes and sizes. We fix and change ur wanted behaviours by rehabilitating dogs and training people. I strongly believe that their is no such thing as a bad dog. Dogs do behaviour things we don’t like for a reason. I find that reason and help train the owner why they are reactive and what to do when they have a reactive dog. I take on mostly all cases of dogs from dog fighting , people aggression, dog aggression, resources guarding, jealously, and a lot more. Including cutting dog nails and baths

DO NOT DO LEASH DOG MEETINGS!!!!

There are several reasons why you should not allow dogs to meet on a leash, including:

Tension
Leashes can cause tension in the dog, which can lead to frustration and aggression.
Limited movement
Dogs on a leash can't avoid or escape, which can make them feel vulnerable and trigger defensive behaviors like barking, snarling, or snapping.
Misinterpreted body language
A tight leash can alter a dog's body language, which can lead to other dogs misinterpreting their intentions.
Natural greeting behavior
Leashes can prevent dogs from using their natural greeting behaviors, which can lead to the wrong impression.
Dogs learn to be defensive
Dogs who have had bad interactions in the past may learn to be defensive when they see another dog approaching on a leash.
If you do want to allow dogs to meet, you can try these tips:
Use a slack leash
Make sure the leash is loose before the dogs meet.
Start slow
Use a quick sniff and then have the dogs disengage and return to their owners for a snack.
Assess the dogs
After the initial greeting, look for signs that the dogs want to interact further.
Communicate with the other owner
Before meeting, communicate with the other owner about their dog's skill level off-leash.
Start single file
When meeting on a trail, start by walking single file with plenty of space between the dogs.

This is RAWHIDE. It is what is used to make leather purses, shoes, sofas.

It is NOT a dog treat.

It is NOT digestible and and can cause a bowel obstruction- it can lodge in your dogs throat- it is toxic.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG RAWHIDE -if you feel the need to buy your pet a chew treat do your research. Read the ingredients. Save your pets life.

ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS WITH THAT COMES UNSAFE DOG TREATS AND CHEAP STALKINGS AT PET STORES. DO NOT BUY !!!!!

Please do not buy. Throw them away if your dog gets one as a gift. Giving rawhide to a dog is never a good idea.

Many of these so called treats end up with the dog “enjoying” some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas. The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulfide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white “pure” look and remove the rancid smell.

Now comes the pretty festive colors and the glue to form cute shapes. On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn’t bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Meet Kona our new dog in training to become service dog material. Kona is a rescue that her owners got after she was picked up on the side of the road, after being shot in the face with buckshot and left for dead. After receiving slice saving surgery Kona still has bbs left from the buck shot in her neck but she’s made a remarkable recovery and is on her journey to a new life. Kona understandably had some scary behaviours within her new families homes as she would charge at ppl that got up from a sitting position as bark at them excessively and at times bite their clothing and potentially scare guests and the parents. They called us in and within one session we were able to restore Konas confidence in her self and show her the correct behaviour by rewarding what we wanted and simply correcting what we didn’t want. We showed the family what Kona needed to be a balanced member of the family and what they would need to do to keep her happy. The family had reported the training we did two days ago has stuck and working amazingly well and would like to do more in hopes to getting her service dog ready and graduated. Welcome to the no bad dogs family Kona.
