No Bad Dog Academy & pet sitting

No Bad Dog Academy & pet sitting Their is no such thing as a BAD DOG. Nine times out of ten it’s the handler / owner NOT the DOG ! I’m a dog trainer / behaviourist if you want to call it that.

I work with many dogs from rescues,to aggressive to passive aggressive dogs.I currently have 4 of my own dogs that have different issues that I correct and deal with daily.From.Fighting to food guarding to insecure or fearful dogs we can find the problem and make a solution together. Nine times out of ten it’s the handler / owner not the dog. Dogs feed off people, that being said your reaction and

mind set creates the action and mind set of your dog. I help rehabilitate dogs I train people ! We are currently offering puppy classes as well as training in , resource guarding , aggression, towards ppl and or dogs . Anxiety, excessive barking and or destroying the house issues. I’ve taken a few online and in person courses in dog psychology as well as positive dog training. I’ve combined both courses into one with my own personal touches I’ve used with my own dogs. I have a few staff that have taken courses as well. Currently I have 5 trainers on board, who are more then happy to help with you doggy problems. Big or small we try and conquer them all. SERVICES

I offer dog rehabilitation with owner and dog. I work with aggressive dogs of all shapes and sizes. We fix and change ur wanted behaviours by rehabilitating dogs and training people. I strongly believe that their is no such thing as a bad dog. Dogs do behaviour things we don’t like for a reason. I find that reason and help train the owner why they are reactive and what to do when they have a reactive dog. I take on mostly all cases of dogs from dog fighting , people aggression, dog aggression, resources guarding, jealously, and a lot more. Including cutting dog nails and baths

Understanding Littermate Syndrome in Puppies

Bringing home two puppies from the same litter might seem like a great idea—they’ll have built-in companionship, right? However, many dog owners are unaware of the challenges that come with Littermate Syndrome, a behavioral condition that can develop when sibling puppies are raised together.

What is Littermate Syndrome?

Littermate Syndrome is a set of behavioral issues that arise when two puppies from the same litter (or even unrelated puppies of the same age) are raised together. These issues often stem from excessive bonding between the puppies, making it difficult for them to develop independence and proper social skills.

Signs of Littermate Syndrome:

Severe Separation Anxiety: Puppies become highly distressed when separated, making training and socialization more difficult.

Fearfulness: They may become overly reliant on each other, leading to increased anxiety in new situations or around unfamiliar dogs and people.

Difficulty in Training: Since they focus more on each other than their human, training sessions can become ineffective.

Inter-Puppy Aggression: As they grow, fights between littermates can become more intense, sometimes escalating into serious conflicts.

How to Prevent Littermate Syndrome

If you’re raising two puppies together, consider these steps to ensure they grow into well-adjusted, independent dogs:

Separate Training Sessions: Train each puppy individually to ensure they learn to focus on you rather than each other.

Encourage Independence: Allow them to spend time apart daily so they learn to be comfortable alone.

Socialization: Expose each puppy to different people, dogs, and environments separately.

Individual Bonding: Spend one-on-one time with each puppy to strengthen your personal relationship with them.

Should You Get Two Puppies?

While raising two puppies is possible, it requires significant effort and commitment. If you’re considering adopting littermates, be prepared to implement structured training and socialization strategies to prevent Littermate Syndrome.

By understanding and addressing Littermate Syndrome early, you can help your puppies grow into happy, confident, and independent dogs!

So we have come across this in Bailey it’s new and we wanted to see just how much she guarded things. So outside her crate she would full on bite and chase the other animals away so we used the crate this time to kinda give her some space and protect the other animals as well from being charged at while she has treats and or toys. Not sure why she’s developed this as she has no need to she’s always given toys and bones like everyone else. So with the crate we have managed to be able to touch it with toys and walk by it now and the other dogs she looks up and goes back to chewing oppose to trying to bark growl and or lunge at the crate. Baby steps but hoping we can show her she doesn’t need to protect her toys or bones she will always get her own stuff.

So a few days ago and in the beginning of baileys training anytime ppl would approach or catch her off guard she would go into a fit of frenzy barking and running backwards with her tail tucked. Now a couple days working on it and she can watch ppl walk by and talk and be loud and not feel the need to run away or bark and even tho they are distracting she is starting to listen to cues and recall while distracted yay Bailey

Squirrel testing with Bailey seems she has a bird and squirrel prey drive so we worked on this a bit as well so she knows she can’t chase and can disengage to be u see control again even tho she would rather go and chase the squirrel. Only spent an hour on this and this was the first raw footage of after an hour working on her.

Bailey first time meeting a dog on walks since our little barking issue the other day. We have worked on gaining confidence by giving her more space while things approach her to show her she’s fine and doesn’t need to react to what’s going on. She did very well no growling no barking and she disengaged and came to me when recalled. Super proud of her

Bailey exploring new environments got to meet and see a cop as well to get her ok with uniforms. Played some ball and practiced recall with distractions while on a long line. Really impressed with how far this girl has gone in short time.

Free play with Bailey while we made noises working on the car and got her used to scary things. She did well and even investigated. She’s finally gaining some much needed confidence in new things.
