We’re growing and looking for volunteers to join our fundraising and events team! We need a dedicate and enthusiastic individual to take on the lead Fundraising and Events Coordinator role and multiple volunteers to help support them as they plan and execute fundraisers and events.

As a non-profit organization we rely on the money raised through fundraisers and events to cover our operating costs, and expanding our fundraising and events team is integral to keeping our doors open and continuing our rescue efforts.

An ideal candidate for the Fundraising and Events Coordinator is:
🐾 Able to plan and execute fundraisers and events (in-person and online). Event planning experience is an asset but not required.
🐾 Hard-working and able to make a weekly commitment (will vary depending on the events schedule ~ 2 to 8 hrs/week).
🐾 A good communicator and team-player with a positive attitude.
🐾 Located in Ottawa, ON. Access to a vehicle is preferred but not required.

The dog days are o̶v̶e̶r̶ STILL HAPPENING… we have decided the dog days of summer are here to stay! 😂☀️

Is anyone else in denial about it basically being September or is that just me? I’m low-key excited for fall though… 🤭🎃👻

• Sunday September 17 we are hosting - come out for snacks, meet adoptables & all bath proceeds will be going to this great rescue 🤍
• Sunday October 1 we are hosting for Halloween photoshoots! Bring your pup and their best costume 📸 who knows, maybe there will be a raffle or prizes… 🙊

We need your help! One of our sweet devoted pet lovers, Maëva, has presented her parents with this detailed presentation as to why she should be able to get a pet duck.

Now, we may be biased, but we think this presentation may be one of the most compelling pieces of work we have ever seen! Heck, we almost just got her a duck ourselves! 🦆

Although Maëva may still be a bit young to welcome a duck into her home (we had a lengthy conversation about all of the responsibilities a pet duck would entail), we want to collect your votes - as she is checking this page - to help compel her parents' approval someday in the future... 👀

A little recap of June… 🫶

During the month of June, we collaborated with various rescues in the Ottawa area in order to do some fundraising for Pet Valu’s Companions for Change program! Our devoted pet lovers had the opportunity to donate dollar values on each transaction ($1, $2, $5 or custom) and we also created two massive raffle baskets in an effort to increase the funds donated to our rescues of choice!

We had a bath event with on June 11th, and although we don’t know the final count (due to debit and credit transactions), we know they raised over $1000 in cash during this 4-hr event and we could not be more proud of this feat! 🥹

The cash total for the raffle basket being donated to is $155 (receipt attached). The remaining $155 was added to the collective donation made to (totalling over $1600) who was the rescue we chose to partner with for the month of June 🤍

Additionally, all food, toys and treats collected during June were donated to Freedom Dog Rescue and Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue respectively. 🐶🐱

There were a total of 12 paid baths between June 23 & June 24, totalling $120 being donated to (receipt attached). Proud to celebrate pride 🏳️‍🌈

We cannot thank our community enough for all of their generous contributions and for always supporting the amazing rescues we partner with for each event. What an incredible June ❤️

I scream, you scream - we all scream for ICE CREAM! 🍦🎉 in collaboration with we have given out over 60 frozen goat treat cups in the last 2 days 🤯 and there’s still a bit of time to go… it’s safe to say, we have the “coolest” pups in town 😜 (swipe to the last photo for the biggest lol of today!)
