Hello everyone, I have been absent from the page for quite some time however it has been brought to my attention that a previous adoptee has edited their review and started to spread rumours about our Cattery due to a recent situation that is beyond our control.
She claims that one of the cats she purchased passed at just under a year old due to liver failure, also stating he was immunocompromised resulting in his death, when that is far from the case.
(I will explain why in a moment)..
She has since been requesting a replacement cat per our contract, however what she wasn’t aware of is that I know for fact; that she re-sold him as a breeder without advising me beforehand, thus- breaching contract.
She is now still trying to profit off of his death when he was no longer in her care, which disgusts me beyond belief by demanding a new replacement male.
Yes I have had a previous litter (of all females might I add that she is NOT entitled to per contract even if she did not violate it), and we do have plans to close our Cattery, however that does not give her the rights to claim any cat she wants. She has even gone as far as to message previous adoptees for their cats at discounted prices, or trying to make us pay for them. However- unfortunately the day she decided to breach contract by re-homing the male as a breeder without first notifying us, the contract became void. The purpose of the contract is for the safety and well-being of the cats, but it is also there for reliability if issues are to occur. The only way for the contract to remain valid is for BOTH parties to follow it, and if they fall in line with the coverages.
However unfortunately some do know this and try to play the system.
There is nothing more to do on our part, however it has always been an important mission of ours to spread truth. I will not stand for these lies and if she does not stop with the attempt of defamation,
I will have no choice but to proceed with legal action.
We ensure the health of our cats are priority and the male she purchased specifically had to be cleared to fly. Our veterinarian does not allow for immunocompromised pets (or even most cargo systems) to fly. We have never had an immunocompromised cat in our care, all the parents have been through genetic health testing to ensure that does not happen.
We took great pride in our Cattery.
However due to this scenario we no longer feel comfortable shipping if we ever did continue.
I would much rather meet, in person- whom is going to be caring for another life.
These aren’t just pets, they’re family.
& I am both baffled and very saddened with the lengths some people will go.
I am in complete disbelief that I am even having to create this post, and I feel frustrated at my bad judgment. I will be choosing adoptees more wisely in the future, indefinitely.
Thank you,
Lots of love ~ OtherWorldlyCat
