Have you observed that the more money horse owners are paying per month, per show, per lesson, the less time and patience they seem to allow the horse, trainer, rider or coach?

But time and patience is how authentic progression happens — it won’t be forced or faked.

Thinking more of training and lessons as investing time in growth, rather than paying money for results.

Slow down, be patient, spend the time. ❤️

Working hard to wrap up our final 2023 projects at Silverdew before “it” ❄️ arrives! Rotten tree removed… fences fixed… gates added… mini-barn built… heated autowaterers installed. Plus the laneway and parking lot regrading, drainage channels and culverts earlier this summer. So proud of all we’ve accomplished in just our second year!

Our broodmares in 🇮🇸 Iceland are moving to a maternity care farm. Can’t wait to meet the foals next Spring — they are the progeny of renowned honor prize stallions Forkur and Álfaklettur! 🤩

Upgrades continue at Silverdew with completed culverts and ditches, plus woodchips in muddy spots! For the 🐴 paddocks, water 💧and power ⚡️ lines are now run and buried — it’s time to pour slabs for the hay shed and auto-waterers.
