Beau- 1.5 year old German shepherd who was reactive towards dogs and over excited on leash. He was bullying the owner's other dog ( lab) ,at times attacking for no reason. He was at doggy daycare until he had attacked a dog before the board and train. He also would chase their cat and small animals, steal their toddlers stuff, play keep away and he was struggling with recall.
Their goal was just to have a calmer dog who was more neutral around everything, interact with dogs politely and have a dog who is off leash reliable.
I couldn't be happier for Beau and his family, he's home now doing so well. I also know his success is due to his dedicated owners , everything I do in a board and train is temporary, what the owner does with the dog will last a lifetime. For the dog to be successful everyone has to be on board, it's what makes the difference. Keeping up a dog's training will BE HARD AND INCONVENIENT at times but so will allowing the dog to behave poorly because you aren't looking for more information.
Everyone starts with not knowing what to do , not understanding what a dog needs , some will go to multiple trainers looking to help their dog not giving up when they don't achieve what they wanted. This inspires me so much the dog is truly lucky, the dog deserves it!
