🐾 Why Dogs Need Massage When Adjustments Don’t Hold 🐾

Chiropractic = Aligns the bones 🦴
Massage = Balances the muscles 💪

When muscles are:
• Too tight or stressed 😣
• Imbalanced from injury 🐕‍🦺
• Full of scar tissue or tension ⛓️

👉 They can pull joints right back out of alignment!

Massage helps by:
✔ Relaxing tight muscles
✔ Improving circulation & healing
✔ Releasing restrictions
✔ Supporting adjustments to last longer

✨ Together, chiropractic + massage = better mobility, comfort & quality of life for your dog! 🐶❤️

🩸 Lyme & Anaplasmosis 🩸

This dog’s 4DX test came back positive for both Lyme disease and Anaplasma — two tick-borne illnesses we’ve been seeing more often lately.

🧪 The 4DX test screens for:
• Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi)
• Anaplasma (Anaplasma phagocytophilum)
• Ehrlichia (Ehrlichia canis / E. ewingii)
• Heartworm disease

🕷 Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi, and Anaplasma by Anaplasma phagocytophilum — both spread by ticks. Some dogs show no signs, while others may develop:
• Lethargy
• Decreased appetite
• Limping or shifting leg lameness
• Fever

🩺 Bloodwork may reveal changes like low platelets (thrombocytopenia), mild anemia, or markers of inflammation. Other symptoms or complications can also arise.

💊 Treatment typically involves a 28-day course of doxycycline, an antibiotic that targets both bacteria, often leading to improvement within days.

🛡 Even with tick prevention, infection can still occur — so testing is worth considering if your dog isn’t acting like themselves, especially during tick season.

💪Use It or Loose It ‼️
🔍 What is Muscle Atrophy?

Muscle atrophy is the loss or wasting of muscle tissue due to disuse, injury, illness, or aging. In dogs, it often affects the hind limbs, shoulders, or core, and can lead to weakness, imbalance, and loss of function.

💪🐕💪🐕‍🦺💪🐩

📆How quickly does it occur?⏰

Mild reduction in activity - early signs 7-10 days
Complete rest - Noticeable loss in 3-5 days
Ongoing inactivity - Significant atrophy by 2-3 weeks

🐶Senior dogs, injured dogs, and those with chronic illness are especially vulnerable.
🥎Sports dog returny to seasonal sports.

If your pet is toned before the rest period they are more likely to be able to rebuild the muscles.
