Merivale Cat Hospital The Cat Hospitals: Ottawa's only veterinary hospitals devoted exclusively to cats! At Merivale Cat Hospital, we exclusively see cats!

That means there are no barking dogs in the waiting room who can upset your cats! Our cat-only veterinary hospital is dedicated to the health and well-being of your feline family. The Merivale Cat Hospital is in its 25th year and was founded by Dr. Doug Boeckh. He and Dr. Chermain Yui make up our team of cat-loving veterinarians.

*We have temporarily suspended taking new patients in an effort to

provide timely care for our current patients. When we are able to take new patients again, we will post on social media and on our website. Our veterinary and technical team has experience treating a wide range of cat personalities, from the very nervous to the very grouchy. We are equipped with an in-house laboratory, X-ray machine, full anesthetic, surgical suite, and dental facilities. Ultrasonography and endoscopy can be arranged if needed. It's Tooth Tuesday! What are some signs that your cat could be suffering dental problems? Watch out for bad breath and red, swollen, or bleeding gums. Loose, broken, or teeth falling out are indications that your cat has a dental problem. Also, watch for signs of pain and discomfort such as pawing at the mouth and refusal to eat hard food. If you notice any of these signs then it's time to visit your veterinarian.
