Last Thursday we said goodbye to our senior Golden Retriever extraordinaire Hugo 02/08/2008 - 04/14/2022 (Canadian and Spanish champion "Sundown De Ria Vela"). From the minute he set foot in Canada until he told us last Thursday that his body could no longer carry his big golden heart he was our happy go lucky ambassador.

We are incredibly thankful that his exceptional golden attributes continue to shine and thrive through his progeny at our kennel. We would like extend our gratitude to his breeders and our dear friends, Antonio and Paloma from the Ria Vela kennel in Cordoba, Spain for giving us the honor of having this wonderful boy as a part of our lives and kennel's pedigree.

He is greatly missed by all the BelCanto family.
