🐾 Spud’s Transformation 🐾

As many of you know, French Bulldogs or any squished face breed often struggle with their breathing due to their closed airways, a condition that can make daily life a lot harder for them. Many people aren’t aware that a life changing procedure called nare surgery can help.

Nare surgery’s opens up the nasal passages, allowing dogs like Spud to breathe easier and live a better life. We recently performed this surgery during his neuter, and the difference has been incredible. Just look at his before and after pictures - he’s already breathing so much easier, and his overall quality of life has improved drastically!

It’s amazing to see how such a simple procedure can make a huge difference for these special pups. If you have a Frenchie (or any brachycephalic breed) who struggled with breathing, this surgery could change their life too!

Our goal is always to help make your cat's visit to the vet as stress free as possible.
Here are a few tips to help!

Keep your cat in their carrier in the waiting room and off the floor to make them feel safer. A raised carrier prevents curious dogs from startling them. Please feel free to use one of our other chairs and a blanket sprayed with feliway hormone.

We will aim to put your cat in an exam room as soon as it is available. This may mean that you are waiting in the exam room for longer before your appointment. Please don't hesitate to ask us if we can put your cat directly into the exam room.

Desensitize your cat by leaving their carrier out at home and turning it into a piece of furniture. This helps them feel more comfortable when it's time for the vet.

Schedule visits during quieter times, like our first or last appointments of the day. We’re happy to accommodate!

Bring a familiar blanket or toy from home to comfort them while they wait.

If your cat still gets anxious, talk to us about medications or supplements that could help.
