DragonRam Doodles is a home-based breeder of quality multigenerational miniature and medium Australian Labradoodles located in Ottawa, Ontario. We raise our puppies in our homes where they are part of our households from the moment they are born. We have several breeding females as part of our families, while the rest of our Mamas and Daddys live in Guardian Homes not too far away. We host occasi

onal Doodle Romps where we invite our puppy families, along with prospective buyers and any other interested Doodle owner, to join us in the nearby fields and forest (or parking lots, in winter time!)

Meet Umber, a gorgeous chocolate girl with a curly fleece coat and a tiny white spot on her chest. Umber is 2 1/2 months old and still looking for a family who wants to take her home. A little bit shy, Umber does love her people and is happy to snuggle and enjoy quiet times with them. She also is keen to interact with other dogs - her siblings and even the adult dogs when they deign to play with the puppies. Umber is in the moderate energy range. Sage is a beautiful and very sweet puppy, now aged 2 1/2 months. She is always the first to come and ask for cuddles when the puppies are out playing. She plays hard with her siblings and the bigger dogs. Sage has the sweetest dispositioini and a really cute face! Sage is a chocolate female and is expected to mature to about 20-25 lbs. Twilight is the one boy in this litter who has had to cope with 5 sisters!! He is gorgeous black phantom boy who we anticipate could mature to about 35 lbs or so, possibly a bit more. Twilight is a careful but courageous puppy who will bond very strongly to his humans. He could benefit from having another dog in the family to help him continue to learn good canine behaviour and provide a friend other than his humans. Twilight has a moderate energy level and is very focused on his environment and the scents around him. He responds to affection and praise and will aim to please. We are considering keeping Twilight as a potential stud, so may be looking to place Twilight in a Guardian home that would work with us over the coming years as we use him for breeding.

The puppies are now just over seven weeks old. Their personalities are definitely coming through now. They are very playful and energetic, love to run around inside and outside, and love to chase and play with their toys. Twilight is a big boy at close to 4 kg already, while his littlest sister silver is barely over 2 kg! The others are somewhere in between.

The puppies are almost 6 weeks old now and getting very playful indeed! They are growing like weeds. We are starting to see more of their personalities emerge. They are starting to eat puppy mush-softened puppy kibble – and less milk. Isla is happy about that because they have TEETH!! The little pups are growing like weeds! Now 3 weeks old, their eyes & ears are open. Start to walk and play with each other and on top of that two of them have already escaped the whelping box.

We are pleased to note that Marmot has found her forever family! But Wapiti & Skunk are still waiting.

Skunk is a beautiful, playful, energetic little girl who loves to run, investigate her surroundings, check out new things, and play, play, play. She'll settle for a snuggle when she's done with playing or for a quick cuddle between adventures, but being active is her go-to. She should mature to appx 25 lbs. Skunk will be a great companion for kids aged about 8+, or for an active single or couple who enjoy the great outdoors and want to spend time playing with their dog or just getting out for a long walk or hike.

Wapiti is a soft, attentive and hesitant boy, cream with white markings who is expected to mature to roughly 30 lbs. He will bond strongly with his humans and takes his time to get used to new situationis and stimuli. He is playful but in a more quiet and restrained fashion than Skunk, although he can get the zoomies when stressed. He gets on well will friendly adult dogs one-on-one, though in a crowd he might get overwhelmed. Wapiti will provide a great companion to a quiet family with older children, or a single or couple who are quiet and somewhat more home-bodies.

We have new puppies!!
We are pleased to announce that last Wednesday 27 March, Manomin Isla gave birth to 6 beautiful babies. Sire by Marvel, these puppies are Manomin's first litter and she came through like a trooper, birthing all six quietly and efficiently.

Manomin's naming theme is colours, so we have:
Twilight, male, black phantom, born at 19:38, weighing in at 375g - a big boy!!
Sienna, female, chocolate phantom, born at 20:00, 305g
Sage, female, chocolate solid, born at 20:09, 262g
Fuchsia, female, chocolate with white on chest, born at 21:08, 298g
Umber, female, chocolate with tiny white spot on chest, born at 22:22:46, 266g
Silver, female, black phantom, born at 22:50, 242g

These pups are expected to mature to between 20 and 30 lbs, They will be ready to go to new home at the beginning of June. Note that if the black phantom male has a suitable temperament, we plan to retain him as a stud prospect, in which case we will be looking for a Guardian family for him.

We're still looking for our forever homes!

Wapiti (cream with some white) is a big boy with lots of love. he gets on well with other dogs and loves to play with people and dogs alike. He is high energy but focused, and when not running around loves to cuddle. He would do well with a family that is active but also has time to sit on the couch and snuggle.

Skunk (black & white) is a very active, energetic and inquisitive girl who is always in search of an adventure or something new to investigate. She is very playful and loves to chase balls or play tug. She will do well with an active couple, single person, or family with children 8+.

Marmot (cream with some white) is a quiet, observant and calm soul who loves to cuddle. With a lower energy level than her siblings, she loves to explore quietly and investigate her surroundings. She will do well with most any kind of family, including one with young children.

We have three puppies from Red Velvet Chickadee's litter still available.

Skunk is an energetic, engaging and inquisitive puppy who is very active and curious about her environment. She is black with some white markings, and is expected to mature to about 25 lbs. Skunk loves to explore and to play with her people. She will do great in an active family, especially with kids aged 8+.

Wapiti is a playful, food-motivated puppy who gets easily excited over toys, play and food. He is creaqm with some white markings and is expected to mature to close to 30 lbs. Wapiti can get easily frustrated but responds to human direction and interaction. He will do well with a calm but active family that can manage his energy and provide lots of play and interaction.

Marmot is a gentle, cautious and respectful puppy who is very communcative and loving. Marmot is cream with some white markings and is epcected to mature to about 20 lbs. She displays high self-confidence and courage and doesn't stress easily although she tends to avoid new or puzzling situations, preferring to go sit and observe rather than engage until she has figured things out or until someone coaxes her out engages her. Then she is playful and happy. Marmot will do well with a quiet family where she can engage in play along with plenty of snuggles.

Four weeks old and growing like weeds!! We have started to supplement what the puppies get from Mama with some puppy mush. They don't have teeth yet, though that will come soon enough, - so we soak their puppy kibble in water to make it soft and they lap it up with gusto. Which of course makes a lot of mess, but they will learn...

The pups are all well over 1kg in weight now, quite a leap from their birth weight of 220-290g. They are walking and even running a little bit, with good grip on the tile floor. They still sleep hard and are starting to play hard too in between bouts of sleep, nursing, chowing down on mush, and more sleep,

We still have several pups available, though since we don't allocate pups until age 8 weeks we can't specify which particular pups those are. If you are interested, send an email to [email protected].

The puppies are one week old today! They are growing well, gaining size and feeding frequently. They crawl around the whelping box like little sausagds with legs, and make the cutest noises. Mama is quite attentive and is eating a lot herself to feed her demanding babies.

He3llo Dragon Ram friends! There has been a long silence on this page as there hasn't been a lot happening at DragonRam Doodles - other than looking after our dogs and having the occasional Doodle Romp. We had only one litter in 2023 as the market has been very slow.

But we are starting 2024 off with a new litter. We are happy to announce that Red Velvet Chickadee gave birth on Monday 15 January to 6 healthy babies!! Our Kootenay Gold (Kenobi) is the proud daddy. We have:
- Pika, female, cream with small white markings (wearing blue collar)
- Lynx, male, cream with white markings (one of the smallest pups)
- Otter, female, apricot with white markings
- Skunk, female, black with white markings
- Marmot, female, cream with white markings (one of the tiny pups)
- Wapiti, male, cream with white markings (wearing red collar)

Based on colour genetics of the parents, we would have expected 3 cream/apricot and the rest either black or chocolate, so this litter skews towards cream. But we love them all!!

Our beautiful black parti girl, Marabou (mostly white with black spots) is still looking for a family. Marabou is a calm, gentle, patient and very snuggly girl with moderate activity level and very resilient. She is expected to mature to 30-40 lbs.

Her brother, Albatross, a gorgeous black phantom with white markings, is also in need of a forever family. Albatross is a big boy, expected to mature to 40-50 lbs. He is energetic, the pack leader of his siblings when they were still here, cautious and sensitive as well as smart and biddable.

Our beautiful white & black girl is still looking for a home! Now 9 weeks old, this calm, gentle, affectionate girl is resilient, courageous and very smart, with a lower energy level. she is drawn to people and looks to her humans for guidance. She is also very snuggle! Marabou should mature to 25-35 lbs.

The chocolate & white girl, Lady Chinook, is also still in need of a Guardian Home. This is a family that provides a forever home for Chinook while working with us to breed herfor 3 or 4 litters. Chinook is very sweet, calm, gentle, playful, and loving. She will mature to about 12-15 lbs. She is now 4 months old.

Introducing Diamon Ridge Lady Chinook

Chinook (aka Shnookie) is a beautiful chocolate parti girl of 3 months of age with an awesome persoanlity who came to us recently from Diamon Ridge Labradoodles in Windermere BC. She is a welcome addition to our breeding program, bringing in new bloodlines to enhance the genetic diversity of our puppies. She will also be the smallest dam we have, likely maturing to 12-15 lbs so at the very low end of the miniature size range (or even what is sometimes called a microdoodle!).

Lady Chinook is aan exceptionally friendly and laid-back girl, who we think could be an awesome therapy dog with proper training. We are looking for a Guardian family for her. Guardian families provide a forever home for our breeding dogs and work with us for several years during the dog's breeding career. We charge a lesser amount for Guardian dogs, and then repay the Guardian family for each litter so that you get your money back (and possibly more). Guardian families should live in or near Ottawa, and should have someone at home a fair bit of time.

9 week old Sprout (chocolate phantom) is looking for his forever home. He's available immediately. In this video he is playing with Dancer (light chocolate phantom) and Mikisew (black/white markings), with Mama Lulu nearby. We are also looking to re-home these 2 ADULT girls together, both 2 years old, half sisters, and best friends. Dancer (22lbs), Mikisew (30lbs). Both girls are very affectionate and playful. Both girls are intact, Dancer has had one litter, Mikisew has yet to have her first litter. We have yet to decide if they will continue their breeding careers, as much will depend on the interest of a suitable family in being Guardians to breeding dogs. WE WILL CONSIDER RETIRING THEM FROM BREEDING (Having them spayed) FOR THE RIGHT HOME. Dancer and Mikisew will do well with: A home with older children or without. A fenced yard or country acreage. Dog owner/family, with experience in basic dog training, and who are retired or work from home.
