Well the beautiful Netta is here to find her soft place to land 🧡 She’s stunning and has the sweetest little white paws 🐾

Netta is a beautiful tabico who lost her home to a fire, she was a socialized barn cat with no warm safe place to go😢 When she first came into care she was frightened, only coming out to eat when she thought she was alone. But, she has come such a long way!

Netta is building her confidence with people. She might watch from her cave bed to assess the situation, but then come out for a big stretch and to wrap herself through your legs before flopping down to watch what you’re doing. Netta has come to love head and tail end scritches, but is still a ways off of being picked up. She’ll also lay on the sofa beside you, she is very curious of what’s going on around her! 🧡

Netta is a gentle, sweet girl who is learning to love the people who care for her as her trust of humans builds. She gets along well with other cats, and in fact, models her own behaviours on the confidence she sees in them😻

Netta is a beautiful and sweet lady who needs a home that will understand she has been through a lot and may need some time to adjust! But once she does, we know she’ll be a wonderful companion 🧡

Netta is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her vaccines!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Saturday’s adoption event at PetSmart Barrhaven such a success. From the Girl Guides selling cookies, to the dedicated volunteers who set up and supported the event, to the PetSmart staff who champion our rescue in so many ways—thank you. To the adopters who opened their hearts and homes to new furry family members, the bakers, the helpers, and the followers who cheer us on, we are deeply grateful.

Our hearts are full of gratitude, and if this first event of 2026 is any indication, it will be another wonderful year for the cats who find their way to our rescue. Love, care, and the promise of a new future come together through adopters, friends, and supporters to create life-changing opportunities for cats in need.

We have received over 50 cat adoption applications in just the past two weeks, and we are truly humbled by the outpouring of support.

Do you believe in magic? ✨😻

Here at Biscuits and Purrs Cat Rescue, we have seen some truly amazing transformations take place among the cats we care for. One of the best examples is our dear Tigris, a sweet six year old tabby who went from a shy, frightened boy to an actual lap cat, through the power of foster care. 🥰

It was nothing short of magic!

Now that Tigris has become comfortable and more himself, he’s looking for his forever home. As we said, he’s 100% a lap cat who literally spends entire days on his foster mom’s lap at every possible opportunity. He has made friends with the resident house cat too! 🐈🐈

If you love an affectionate tabby (and, who doesn’t), please consider Tigris. He may take a bit of time to settle into your home but if you give him a chance you’ll be rewarded with the love and loyalty of the sweetest boy.
‼️ Please note that Tigris would be best to be the only cat in his forever home. He loves other cats and gets along very well with them but he finds changes very challenging and adores humans most of all. We feel that he would settle most quickly in a home with just people, where he didn’t also have to navigate cat relationships in a new environment. We aren’t ruling out a home with another cat but we think his transition might be easier without one.

All of this can be discussed with Tigris’ wonderful foster mom who is a wealth of information and happy to chat to ensure the purrrrfect match is made for Tigris and for you.

Calm. Regal. Utterly unshakeable. Holt is the ultimate happiness-booster after a long, stressful day. With her glossy black fur and *magnificent* eyes, she’s as stunning as she is soothing. Holt **loves pets**, purrs loudly to show her appreciation, and is comforting, kind, and gentle — a true purrrfect princess. She gets along beautifully with other cats and brings quiet joy wherever she goes.

🐈‍⬛ **Detective Diaz**
Much like her namesake, Diaz is a little bashful, observant, and slow to trust — but don’t let that fool you. With the confidence she gains from her mentor and sibling Holt, Diaz is learning that humans are pretty great (especially when food is involved 😏).

Diaz is a medium-to-long haired grey fluff with the softest, most luxurious coat. She’s timid and will need a patient, loving adopter willing to give her time and space — but she is incredibly sweet. Diaz is okay with gentle pets and being picked up, loves to explore at her own pace, and becomes noticeably braver when following Holt’s lead. Wet food and treats? Case closed. 🕵️‍♀️

This sweet, cuddly, mini house panther🐈‍⬛ is Jinks! We cannot believe he has not been scooped up yet, but let’s change that!

Found as a stray in Plantagenet, Jinks is a sweet and gentle boy. Once comfortable with a new person, he blossoms into the most loving companion😻 He will come over for rubs, and he loves pets on his head, back, bum, and even his belly—and you’ll know you’re doing it right when he starts to drool🥹

Jinks is the purrfect cuddler and also enjoys time on your lap! When he’s done with snuggles, he’ll hop off to play, explore, eat, or curl up for a nap 🖤

Jinks is still figuring out how toys work😸 but he adores his cardboard scratcher and even naps on it sometimes. He’s not a high-energy cat; he prefers to lounge, relax, and watch the world around him🐈‍⬛ He does enjoy playing with his female feline friends and foster kittens—he’s incredibly gentle and loves grooming them. He’d do great in a home with another friendly cat 🖤

Jinks enjoys both wet and dry food, but his absolute favourite treats are Churus. He’ll come running for them and would probably do anything to earn one😸

All Jinks asks for is a patient home with a feline friend and plenty of love😻 With time to adjust and people who care for him, he will be the purrfect cat 🖤

Routines become familiar and curiosity grows. Personality appears in small ways.

Peanut and her sister Mae were once strays, lovingly cared for by a kind soul who reached out to ensure they’d find the safe, forever home they truly deserve. These two sweet girls are completely inseparable! They eat, play, and nap side by side every single day. True best friends for life. ❤️

Like many young cats, Peanut and Mae can be a little cautious in new or unfamiliar environments. Give them time and patience, and they absolutely blossom. Once they feel secure, they reveal their affectionate, chatty, and delightfully cuddly personalities. 🥰

✨ Mae greets her foster every morning with gentle cuddles and dramatic belly-flop requests for rubs.

✨ Peanut steals hearts with her stunning olive-green eyes and calm, gentle nature.

They may look almost identical, but here’s how to tell them apart:

🐱 Peanut: Pink nose, unique circular tabby markings, olive-green eyes

🐱 Mae: Darker nose and classic tabby stripes

These sisters love chasing springs and laser pointers, are excellent (non-picky!) kibble eaters, enjoy the occasional wet food treat, and keep their litter box impeccably tidy. They’re also curious about the resident dog and one of the calmer cats in their foster home. 🐾

Peanut and Mae would thrive in a calm, patient household where they can adjust at their own pace. Once settled, they’ll reward you with endless affection, sweet chatter, and daily joy. 😊
