Fergus came to the OHS all the way from Iqaluit, through our Northern Dog Transfer Program. He arrived in rough condition, his fur dirty and matted. Our team worked carefully to shave his fur, which came off of him in thick clumps. With that weight lifted off his little body, he’s now focused on recovering and getting ready for his neuter surgery before finding his forever home. Thanks to our wonderful supporters, Fergus got the care he needed when he had nowhere else to turn. You can help give second chances to animals like Fergus: https://ow.ly/ybeI50TSV9i

Ottawa teens are helping rabbits in need and it’s extremely heartwarming 🥰🥰
Meet Teagan, one of our dedicated Youth Foster Volunteers, who’s earning her hours by caring for three-year-old Stuart.
The OHS Youth Foster Program gives teens the chance to learn about rabbits and animal care, practice responsibility and earn their high school volunteer hours. So far, 17 rabbits have been helped by teen volunteers, who attend a special workshop before bringing home their bunnies.
Teagan says she’s formed a strong bond with Stuart, and she’s so dedicated to helping him find his forever home that she’s keeping him in her care even after she’s completed her 40 hours! This is the type of care and commitment that we love to see in the next generation of pet owners and animal champions.
