Give Sesame a little patience and a lot of love and he’ll be your snuggly sidekick in no time!

Sesame is a six-month-old cat who might take a moment to warm up but once he does, he’ll melt right into your lap and your heart. Beneath his shy exterior is an affectionate cuddle bug who lives for snuggle sessions and cozy naps beside his favourite people. When he’s not soaking up your attention, you’ll find him chasing after his toys with enthusiasm. Sesame is ready to find a home where he can feel safe, loved and free to show off his sweet, playful side!

*Warning: graphic images*

Maedder arrived at the OHS in critical condition. He was suffering from a gaping neck wound. The cause? A swallowed sewing needle.

The curious one-year-old kitty swallowed a piece of thread with a needle still attached. As it went down, the needle tore through the skin on his neck and he was rushed to the OHS for help.

The OHS veterinary team worked quickly to safely remove the needle and thread, and placed a tube to drain fluid from the wound. After getting stitches to close the wound, he’s now doing much better and is back to his sweet, happy self.

Thanks to the emergency medical care he got at the OHS, Maedder got a second chance.
