This is Peaches after her life-changing surgery.

She was found alone outside in the cold, covered in scrapes and bruises and suffering from a painful Achilles tendon rupture that was too damaged to be healed.

Thanks to compassionate donors, Peaches got the surgery she needed to amputate her leg and live a pain-free life. After months of recovery in a loving foster home, Peaches found her perfect match and was adopted.

But so many animals are still out there tonight, hurting, cold, and waiting for help that may never come.

Give before Nov. 30 and your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar — doubling your impact for animals in crisis.

Your kindness gave Peaches her second chance. Help give the next one theirs: https://bit.ly/43osUR8

Meet Sterling! He’s a one-year-old Australian cattle dog looking for his forever home. This energetic boy thrives on daily exercise and mental stimulation. He enjoys long walks, games of fetch and any activity that lets him burn off his abundant energy. He can be a little mouthy and jumpy, but he’s been working on it and improving! He also comes with complimentary OHS dog training to help set him and his new family up for success. Because of his high energy and enthusiasm, he’s not suited for homes with young children.

Sterling is ready for a family that can match his energy and keep his mind and body challenged. He’s smart, playful and ready for someone who can keep up. Adopt Sterling: https://bit.ly/3Kawsjg

Cybil, a two-year-old cat, was brought to the OHS in early October after a terrifying accident. A collision with a lawn mower severely injured her face and left her in a lot of pain.

Our veterinary team gave Cybil much-needed pain relief, carefully cleaned and closed her wounds and X-ray’d her. Fortunately, the X-rays only revealed an old pelvis fracture that had healed. Due to changes in her hip from the old pelvis fracture, the vets performed a femoral head and neck ostectomy to improve her comfort and mobility.

We’re thrilled to share that Cybil is now on the road to recovery. She’s receiving physiotherapy to regain strength and mobility and with each day, she’s growing stronger and more comfortable. Cybil has already overcome so much and we can’t wait to see her thriving in the happy, safe life she deserves!

Thank you to our caring community, animals like Cybil have a safe place to land in their time of need.
