A personal facebook memory popped up for Heather this week from years ago. We humans have advanced ways to communicate and sometimes we miss what animals understand/remember. Trying to be better at listening or explaining things in a way to aid understanding with either animals or our human counterparts is the training goal.

"A cool end to my day.....I have a friend's dog staying with me this week. He is here maybe once a year, he certainly has not been here since last August. In a previous visit (I am thinking not last year but maybe the previous) I played a game once or twice (so maybe 20 or 25 treats) shaping him to put his feet inside a rubber ring that I have in the toy box. He brought me the ring tonight and we played the game for chicken hearts. Not sure where He found it. I am assuming it was at the bottom of the toybox in the dining room.".

Carolark is delighted to offer an Introduction to Canine Hoopers.

Canine Hoopers is a new inclusive sport. Flowing courses, work on the flat, and teamwork with your four-footed friend. The sport involves you working with your dog and directing your dog in the navigation of a course that includes hoops, barrels and tunnels.

Our summer session of Help for Dogs that Over React to Dogs class is starting Sunday July 9th This is an 8-week class. The first week is a presentation and discussion online, the second is for handlers only and the remaining 6 are in the classroom with two instructors, 4 dogs, and their respective handlers. The class that starts on Sunday the 25th will finish on the August 27th (there will be no class on July 2nd or August 6th )

Carolark has spots available for the Help for Dogs that Over React to Dogs class starting Sunday (26th). This is an 8 week class. The first week is a presentation and discussion online, the second is for handlers only and the remaining 6 are in the classroom with two instructors, 4 dogs and their respective handlers.
