Rogers is out in the area, so we are without phone and internet with no idea as to when it will be back on. We can’t check files, prescribe medication, etc. without Internet access.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Please call Greenbank Animal Hospital if you need to book appointments or put in a prescription request. We have shared access to all files.

Thank you!

Ticks are still out and are horrible so far this month!

Reminder, if it’s above ZERO degrees they are out and hungry. Last year there wasn’t one month we didn’t see them coming in on pets.

Keep your pets on tick medication every month that it doesn’t stay below ZERO degrees everyday. Sometimes this includes December to February. Check your pets - and yourself - after spending time outdoors (including your backyard, bike paths, kids parks, etc.)

Happy Howl-een!

As fun and spooktacular as tonight is, please remember to keep your cats inside and ensure your dogs aren’t able to get out the door when the trick-or-treaters come knocking.

Tonight we close at 5PM, please come pick up any medication or food that you need before then.

Witch-ing you a happy Halloween!

Happy Friday to all our veterinary technicians! Although it is the last day of national veterinary technician week, we hope you know how much we appreciate you each and every week. Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are adept at performing digital radiographs to capture clear, accurate images for diagnosis. They are trained to position patients correctly and operate radiographic equipment with precision, minimizing the need for retakes. At our practice, RVTs have introduced a hands-free approach to radiography, which involves using specialized equipment like positioning aids and restraints to safely secure animals without direct manual handling. This method reduces radiation exposure to staff, enhances patient comfort, and improves safety, all while maintaining high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes.

Our technicians are incredibly talented! Here are some more things they do for us on a daily basis:

Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are highly skilled in obtaining lab samples and running diagnostic tests, which are critical for accurate diagnoses. They are trained to collect blood, urine, f***l, and tissue samples with precision and care, ensuring minimal stress to the patient. RVTs are also proficient in using lab equipment to run diagnostic tests, such as blood counts, biochemical profiles, and urinalysis, and they are able to interpret results to assist veterinarians in determining a course of treatment. Their attention to detail and technical expertise ensures the reliability and accuracy of the diagnostic process.

Technician week continues! Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) play a crucial role in surgical procedures, ensuring both the safety of the patient and the efficiency of the operation. They are responsible for assisting veterinarians throughout the procedure. RVTs monitor anesthesia, maintain vital signs, and adjust medications as needed to keep the patient stable. Post-surgery, they help with recovery, pain management, and provide ongoing care until the patient is ready to go home. Their expertise is vital in ensuring successful outcomes and smooth surgical operations.

It’s Thanksgiving weekend!

We wish all of you a wonderful long weekend. Remember to keep your pets healthy and avoid giving them rich foods or anything potentially toxic.

If you’d like to feel that they’re being included (or you have family members who insist on giving treats!) you can give them special pet-safe treats (store bought or homemade), stuffed frozen Kongs for dogs, or treat ball toys for cats.

Nobody likes spending the holiday at the emergency clinic!

We are closed for the holiday Monday, but are open regular hours before and after.
