Casey & Finnegan are all set and ready for this weekend. They got their costumes and badges and are all set to (probably) help out at Kitchen Science For Cosplay Friday at 5:30pm in Rm B. They may stay home Friday though cause it'll be way past their bedtime by the time Del is done yammering. #

Learning to needle felt and made myself a cat loaf. So far Im happy with it. A few more things beforre done.
It was so hot here in Ottawa yesterday that this little alum crystal I've been growing in a jar for a few days melted. Melted! I checked on it last night and it was gone. Boo! I'll start again when it cools down.
They started at 7:10am! Not as loud as yesterday but the air is full of dust. They're digging out the leftover crud from the house demolition. Thank gods I wake long before 7 and it is not a super hot day.
According to these guys 7:30am is a perfectly acceptable time to start demolishing an entire house. Many of my neighbour's (and the Zoo) beg to differ. Happy Monday.

Kitchen Science: Day 1: Test 1 growing crystals in jars. Picture was 2 1/2 hrs into it. Can't wait to see how big they are tomorrow! !
My new baby. A White Brand Model 166. Made sometime between 1950-1970s. Got her free. Cleaned her up and fixed a few minor things. So far she's working great. Fingers crossed she stays that way as I go on. Just had the first successful test run!
This amuses me to no end. Last night , and possibly others, a racoon has decided to chill for over half hr on my narcissist neighbour's bench he keeps on the shared porch. The raccoon really seems to be enjoying bathing itself all over his furry blanket and pillows. He would have a hissy fit about it. I laughed when I saw him lounging there today just like the raccoon last night.
According to the flowers in my yard it's spring time. Had a bunch pop up through the winter leaf cover etc. Also have some white and yellow ones.
My girls can multitask! Watching squirrel TV and taking care of mommie at the same time. â€ïž
