📰 Brrrr! Frosty Here with Extreme Cold Safety Tips! ❄️🐶
Hi friends, it’s Frosty! I may love winter, but even I know these freezing temperatures can be too much for us pups. Here’s how to keep your four-legged pals safe and cozy during extreme cold:
🐾 Limit Outdoor Time: Quick potty breaks are best. Prolonged exposure can lead to frostbite, especially on ears, paws, and tails.
🧥 Bundle Us Up: A warm coat or sweater helps us stay cozy. Booties are great for protecting sensitive paws from ice and salt.
⚠️ Watch for Warning Signs: Shivering, paw-lifting, or acting sluggish means we’re too cold. Bring us inside immediately to warm up. Watch for pale or gray skin, shivering, or lethargy. These are warning signs that your dog needs immediate warmth and possibly veterinary care.
🧊 Avoid Icy Areas: Frozen puddles and slippery spots can hurt our paws or cause accidents. Stick to cleared paths whenever possible.
🧼 Check Our Paws: After walks, wipe down our paws and bellies to remove ice, salt, or chemicals that can irritate our skin.
🏡 Stay Indoors: On bitterly cold days like today, indoor games or treat puzzles are a great way to keep us entertained and active.
Take it from me, Frosty, extreme cold is serious business!
Stay warm, stay safe, and don’t forget, I’m looking for my forever home! Check out my bio at Rocky Road Rescue to learn more about me. 🐕💙

🎅 Frosty’s Letter to Santa: Accepting Applications 🎁
Dear Santa,
My name is Frosty, and I’ve been a very good boy this year! I’m a 10-year-old retired sled dog who loves going for walks and taking long naps by the fire. I get along well with other dogs and love meeting new people on my walks.
I’ve been working on my leash skills (I’m pretty strong!) and trying to learn how to play with toys. My foster says I’m a quick learner and a sweet companion. I don’t mind being home alone for a few hours, and I’m always excited to see friendly faces.
All I want for Christmas is a forever family who will love me, give me belly rubs, and maybe toss me a few treats. If you think I’d make the perfect addition to your home, please let my rescue know!
Love,
Frosty ❄️

🐾 Miko – Now Available for Adoption! 🐾
🐕 Age: 8 years
🏠 Breed: Shiba Inu
⚡ Energy: Medium
👶 Kids: Older, respectful kids only
🐶 Dogs: No (reactive, no dog parks)
📏 Size: Medium
💉 Medical: Neutered & up-to-date
Hi, I’m Miko! 🐕 I’m a sweet, independent Shiba Inu looking for my perfect family. I’ll greet you with excited jumps, whines, and barks when you come home!
I’m treat-motivated and love learning tricks—so far, I can sit, roll over, play dead, crawl, and more! Show me a hand signal, and I’ll show off my skills.
I have medium energy with playful bursts in the evening, enjoy car rides 🚗, and love spending time near you (though I also need my personal space) I’ve had tough experiences with other dogs, so I’d prefer to be the only pet in a calm household.
I’d thrive in a home 🏡 or apartment with a family who’ll respect my boundaries and keep me away from other dogs. I’m great on leash walks 🦮 and enjoy a comfy spot to relax afterward.

❄️ Are you ready to let it Snow? ❄️
Meet Snow, a 9-year-old husky (possibly a mix) who’s melting hearts everywhere with his puppy-like playfulness and endless affection!
🐾 High energy: Snow loves following his humans and thrives on playtime, but he’s also a snuggly companion when it’s time to relax.
🐾 Playful spirit: He’s curious like a puppy and loves fetch (rare for his breed!) and zooming around with his stuffies.
🐾 Training superstar: Snow knows basic commands, responds well to treats, and listens to verbal corrections.
🐾 Best with female dogs: He’s fostered with a female husky and does great after some corrections. Male dogs aren’t recommended for the same household.
🐾 Feeding tip: Snow may resource guard food with other dogs, so separate feeding is best.
🐾 Loves people: Snow is a total lovebug who thrives on attention and enjoys being part of the action.
🐾 Great with kids: Gentle and kind, but his excitement might be too much for little ones—older children are a better match.
🐾 Health check: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and working on gaining weight after being a little down in the dumps at the shelter.
Despite his shelter past, Snow’s spirit shines bright, and he’s ready to bring joy, cuddles, and a dash of husky charm to his forever family.

💌🎄 Jag's Letter to Santa 🎄💌
Dear Santa,
My name is Jag, and I’m writing to you from my foster home, where I’ve been working hard to be the best boy I can be while I wait for my forever family. I have so much love to give, and I just know there’s someone out there who’s perfect for me. Can you help them find me?
🐾 I’m thought to be a Rottweiler x Shepherd mix, with a heart as big as my XL, 70-pound frame.
🎂 I’m only 2 years old, with a lifetime of adventures and snuggles ahead of me.
⚡ I have medium to high energy—I’m always up for a walk, playtime, or learning new tricks.
🦴 My fosters say I’m a ray of sunshine in dog form, and I think they’re right.
🐕 I love having another confident dog by my side—they help me feel safe and brave.
💃 I do the cutest tippy-tap dance when I’m excited, especially at mealtime.
🐾 I’m an eager learner, putting my whole heart into every command—when you say “lie down,” I’ll enthusiastically flop onto the floor to make you proud.
🎶 I sing the funniest little songs when I’m happy—it’s impossible not to smile when you hear them.
❌ I’m better suited to a home with teens or adults rather than young kids, and cats aren’t my style either.
🏠 I’m working on feeling confident when left alone, with the help of medication and training, so I’d love a patient family who will cheer me on as I grow.
💪 I’m still learning not to pull on walks when I get excited to meet new friends, but I’m improving every day.
✈️ I’ll need an airline crate for when you’re not home to keep me safe.
Santa, I dream of a family who will love my goofy antics, appreciate my sunshine-y personality, and help me continue to grow into the best version of myself. In return, I promise to fill their days with joy, laughter, and my unconditional love.
If you think I could be someone’s perfect match, please tell them to submit
🎄💌 Kiwi's Letter to Santa 💌🎄
Dear Santa,
It’s me, Kiwi! 🎄🐾 I have one Christmas wish this year: to find a forever family. I’ve been a very good pup, and I hope you can help make my dream come true. Here’s a little about me:
🐕 I’m an Akita (maybe a mix), born in August 2024. I’m loyal, loving, and ready to grow with my new family.
🚽 I’m house-trained, with only the occasional accident. Learning is part of the journey!
🛏️ I’m crate-trained, sleeping soundly through the night and feeling safe in my crate during the day up to 6 hours.
🔄 I thrive on routine and structure—it helps me feel secure and confident.
🎮 I’m playful and energetic, loving games like tug-of-war and fetch. I can even keep up with the big dogs!
🚗 I’m an adventure buddy who loves car rides and stays calm on walks or in busy places.
🦮 I’m great on leash, always curious but respectful, ready to explore by your side.
🧡 My dream is to find a loving family who will include me in everything—playing, exploring, and relaxing together.
🏞️ I’d love an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures but also values cozy downtime.
📚 I need someone Akita-savvy (or excited to learn) to help me grow into the best dog I can be.
Santa, finding my forever family would be the greatest gift of all. 🎁 I believe in Christmas magic, and I’m hoping this year it brings me home. Every share of my letter gets me one step closer to that dream.
Love always,
Kiwi 🐾
P.S. I promise to give my new family endless love, loyalty, and joy. ❤️

‼️Hey friends, it’s me, again, your boy Pine! I still need a foster home!‼️
🐾 Timeline: ASAP, no later than December 21st! 🐾
Here’s what I’m looking for in my perfect foster:
❌ No cats or young kids, please! I’m a herding dog, and chasing things is kinda my thing.
❓ I’m reactive with other dogs, but I might be okay with a calm, chill dog if we take things slow. Just no dog parks for me, and the other pup has to be spayed or neutered. We’d need to be kept separate at first for proper decompression.
✅ You’ve got some dog experience or are willing to learn how to handle a high-energy pup like me.
✅ Training experience or an open mind to learning is a big plus!
A little about me:
💚 I know lots of cool commands, including place and recall!
💚 I’m crate-trained and can hang out in my crate for a while if needed.
💚 I love having tasks to do and am super smart and eager to please!
💚 I’d be awesome at agility or trick training—just saying!

Let’s do this! 🐾💪
Hi there, I’m Blakey!
I’m an 8-year-old Husky mix, recently retired from sled dog life and now on the hunt for my forever home. Let me tell you a bit about myself:
- I’m a large-sized goofball with medium-to-high energy.
- I’m fully vaccinated and neutered—healthy and ready for all the adventures!
- I had a back injury in the past, but don’t worry—it’s all healed, and I’ve got no ongoing issues.
Now, about my personality: I *love* being around my humans. I’m the affectionate type—don’t be surprised if I gently “smack” you to remind you it’s time for pets. I’m curious about everyone I meet and always happy to make new friends.
Outdoors? Count me in! I’m an adventurer at heart. I’m your guy for hikes, road trips, or any outdoor fun. Indoors, I’m a pro at napping and cuddling—balance is key, right?
I do well with dogs if they’re the right match for my confident personality, and I think older kids would be the best fit for me. Cats? Hmm, we’d have to test the waters there. I’m still figuring out crate training, but the good news is I’m non-destructive when left loose.
I’ve already discovered the joy of dog beds (seriously, *amazing*) but haven’t quite figured out what toys are all about yet. Maybe you can show me?
So, are you an active family ready to welcome a goofy, loving, outdoorsy buddy into your life? If that’s a yes, I’m your guy.
