What is on my mind? Laying Semah at the base of the berry bushes and having a conversation with these beautiful friends who give us such sweetness, rhubarb-ginger jam mixed into yogurt, backyard mulberries, the next batch of currant jelly on the stove, early plums in brine on the way to becoming umeboshi...

I am also very grateful to Chi Garden for their amazing diversity salads and ferments and for hosting the Nanabush preserves at their table during the Just Food Farm Stand on Sundays.

Proceeds of the Nanabush sales are donated to Forêt Capitale Forest to support their amazing mission of increasing biodiversity and tree canopy in the National Capital region. If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, please consider attending one of their tree care events.
