Diego is our tiny sweetest 6 years old chihuahua baby daddy (our stud)
He was living happily in his supposedly forever family, came back for a few days while his family went on vacation and just now I received a message from them that they don’t want to take him back as the husband in the family doesn’t like him.
So now I’m looking for a permanent home for him. Must be in Ottawa area. I’ll be responsible for his vaccination, you are responsible for providing him forever loving home, great quality food, appropriate exercise and unlimited snuggles.
He is the sweetest little loving boy, loves kids, cats, dogs. Gets along with everyone. Not an oz of agression in this 4 lbs boy. He thrives to provide as much love to his family as he is allowed. He is not a barker, but he will cry with you (sadly howl) if you or children are crying.
He is being used as a stud in our chihuahua program. I use him once in a couple of years. After he is done with his stud career, he will stay in his family forever. I need a PERMANENT home for him. It is not fair to him that family he knew and loved with all of his heart just dropped him off and out of their lives.

Nigel, our handsome breeder, is looking for his forever foster home. Must be located in Ottawa area or within an hour drive. He is my breeding male. He will be free of charge for you, I’ll pay his yearly vet checks and vaccines and he has a vet insurance in case he gets sick. He will be your dog, but my breeder. It means that we will co-own him while he is a part of my breeding program.

You must provide stable loving home and environment, feed him high quality food, provide him with love and exercise he needs.

About Nigel: he is an almost 2 years old Chinese Chongqing dog. He is intact and has to stay intact. He has an absolutely amazing personality, loves people and children, loves other dogs and cats. He is a hunting dog and has a high prey drive towards squirrels and rabbits, hence has to be walked on the leash only. He knows his commands, not a barker, loves to eat and snuggle as well as loves to give kisses.

The reason I’m looking for a forever home for him: I have 3 intact females at home and it is very stressful and hard on Nigel, when the girls are in heat. The heat lasts 3-4 weeks and he stops eating and is just miserable during those times. I am also constantly worried that my children will let him out accidentally with the girls and they get pregnant when the litter wasn’t planned. One of the females is his daughter and it absolutely terrifies me that children will not be diligent and get them together.
After he retires from breeding, he will stay with you in his forever home.

Here is some information about The Great Adoption (La grande adoption en français).

It is a French TV show that will be broadcasted on UNIS TV all across Canada.
We are going to follow French families, couples or single people on their journey to adopt an animal (they must live in Ontario).

It is an educational series. We want to inform people about the things you need to think about before adopting an animal. It's a long term engagement.

Sphinx are really specific cats with specific needs. I would love to have the chance to talk about that breed on the show.

We need to be there for the official adoption, so we need to talk to people before the adoption is done. We also follow up after a few weeks so see how it goes.

We offer a financial compensation for the adoption and the time spent with us (even if filming is fun and we are a friendly team ;) )

Feeding.
SPHYNX cats have very sensitive stomachs making it is very hard to get them have a normal poops.
After trying many different diets, a few years back I decided to give a try to a raw diet for my sphynx cats. After meeting with natural food vet (equivalent to human naturopath) I started my raw food journey. And what a difference!!!!
My cats stopped having diarrhea, no more regurgitation, skin oil production decreased, kittens were born at a bigger weight, moms had enough milk to exclusively feed their babies without supplementing (even such a large litter of 7)
Now we go to see a vet only for routine check ups. I’m a true believer of raw food

A couple years back I have switched my dogs to raw as well and noticed many positive changes, including reduction of stinky farts! Cats’ poops are not clearing out the house anymore!

So, here’s a little about raw food. It is very important to feed a proper mix to get all the benefits and not to damage your pet’s health.
A raw diet usually includes organ meats, muscle meat, whole or ground bone, raw eggs, dog-safe fresh fruits and vegetables, and a dairy product such as yogurt. I feed 80-10-10 mix. It it 80% meat, 10% organs (kidneys, liver, brain, pancreas, testicles, tripe) and 10% of ground up egg shells or bones. I add raw eggs, vit B complex, sardines or other cooked oily fish. This is it for the cats. For dogs I add raw fruits and veggies as well as grains like oats, rice, quinoa, millet, buckwheat.

4 years old spayed swell female dwelf is being rehomed due to misuse of her litter box. She has been checked out by the vet multiple times, no issues there. She started her behaviour when the owners got a new dog a couple of years back. The owners have tried everything. Sometimes she is great and sometimes she will go on the floor right next to her litter box. Located in Ottawa, Ontario. She will do the best as being a single cat. Even though she is great with cats and dogs, I believe her behaviour is due to the dog.

My kitten buyer is trying to rehome one of my former sphynx cats. He is 1.5 years old, neutered, but apparently he is having an issue with using his litter box. Vet exams are all normal. While at my place he used litter less litter box with no issues at all, but at her place he goes in his boxes and dogs’ beds. May be behavioural, but she is done with him. The owner is not willing to try any meds unless they are natural, so there’s a high chance he is stressed out and needs some Prozac. My current family situation is not allowing me to take him back. He is free of charge if someone wants to give him a try. Located in Ottawa. Pm.
