We are so happy for you, Gavin!

For those of you who don't know, Gavin was our summer vet student and has entered his 3rd year of vet med. We had the pleasure of having Gavin play for us during a staff party this summer, and you can see the passion and excitement when he plays. Traits that we have also seen him apply in-clinic! We hope that we will be able to catch a SaskSteel show in person. For now, we have them on our Spotify playlist 🎶

Having a hobby outside of the clinic and vet med is so important in our industry, which is part of what this scholarship is trying to encourage 🫶

Another virus that is more common than we think is Distemper Virus. It's another one that likes to attack the gastrointestinal and nervous system. It's spread most commonly through wildlife population of coyotes, fox, skunks, etc. through coughing/sneezing or shared food/water dishes!
💩Stool changes and vomiting along with lethargy, decreased appetite and sometimes coughing and nasal discharge.
😵‍💫The neurologic component you may see a head tilt and your pet circling, muscle twitching, salivating. This symptom is sometimes mistaken for rabies!
Again - there is no cure for distemper! The only option for prevention is through vaccinations!
