I really went with the Christmas red and green with my pot of chili I put on this morning 🎄❤️💚🎄😂 I just wanted to show you how many micros I add to the pot and how they cook right down! I pluck the tops of the sunflower and pea shoot micros and don’t add the stems. This is a super easy way to add extra nutrients into a classic comfort food!

I just made a rich and flavourful Christmas health drink! Add 4 cups water and 1 cup fresh cranberries to a high speed blender. Blend for 1 minute. Add lime juice and honey to taste. This snowy day called for some broccoli cheddar soup!! We will have it for dinner with some tuna sandwiches. I add Georgian Bay Microgreens to every single one of my soups/stews. It’s an easy way to use up any micros from the previous week’s delivery! I just toss them all in - they add SO much flavour! I usually purée all my soups so their textures don’t come into play for any picky eaters 😆 We will also add some broccoli micros to our tuna sandwiches as well go tie the whole dinner together! A mashed potato bar is a super frugal, easy and incredibly unique way to host a holiday dinner! It was so fun to think of things to have as toppings. Here I have stuffing, gravy, bacon, green onion, mushrooms, Georgian Bay Microgreens, shredded cheese and sour cream…and I made 7lbs of russet potatoes. It was a true hit!!! What toppings would you add???

Okay, I’m about to tell you secret ingredients to make the best tasting, most mouth- watering grilled cheese in the world!
Extra old cheddar, provolone, chive whipped cream cheese, crumbled feta and broccoli micros.
Make sure you use sour dough bread!
P.S. my son was getting this exact meal through Skip the Dishes for $24 a sandwich!!! It was then I did some investigative work and now we make the same thing for a fraction of the cost 😆

TACO TUESDAY has never been ‘cheesier’ 😂
I’m prepping mini taco pizzas for dinner tonight featuring sunflower micros! These nutrient dense micros are the ones I find my kids like the very best. I really can put them on anything and everyone will happily eat them. Tell me your favourite way to use your sunflower micros!

Microgreens make the perfect garnish for holiday drinks! 🍹🍸🍹
Here I have added some pea shoots to a beets, blueberry, açai drink. Looks so festive, right?! The pea shoots have a perfect longer stem, so they stand up well in a tall glass or you can trim them for a shorter cocktail/wine glass!

Shawna here…And it’s FRI-YAY!!!! Getting lots of nutrients in tonight’s salad! I got a concussion at the beginning of the week; ended up with 5 stitches on my forehead and a broken elbow…so I need all the help I can get from nutrition to heal up. I believe in the power of food! 🤯🤯💪🏼💪🏼
Spinach, a handful of each of the four micros from my subscription box, beets, dried apricots, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, cashews and herbed tofu! I’ll post the ingredients to the spice blend I used on the tofu. It’s really yummy!

Happy Wednesday- we are halfway through the week 😀 It’s me Shawna, posting another soup recipe for you today!! Soup is the perfect nourishing food on these cold, wet days, isn’t it?!

The recipe is posted in the pics. I followed it to a T, except at the last step I added a handful of each of the 🌱microgreens🌱that come in the subscription box. I also blended it all in my vitamix at the very end. I can get my kids to eat any veggie if they are blended 😂. The yellow silicone items shown are called, ”Souper Cubes.” (Amazon). They freeze all my soups in the perfect portion for one serving. Once frozen, I pop them out and place them in a large freezer bag. They are invaluable 😆
