Dream Chaser Equestrian Center is offering a Show preparedness Week over March break (March 10th to March 14th) 9 A.M to 4 P.M. this week open to riders who are able to walk and jog/trot ages 6-100. This is not a kids only week it is for anyone looking to improve their horse handling skills.

Over the week students will learn to braid, band, clip, take apart clean and put back together all tack, prepare trailer, load horse on trailer, bathe, prep mane, lunge, warm up at a show, build confidence riding in a group, organize and plan their time for show prep days,and receive insight into different classes and judges expectations. At the of the week we will put on a barn show for participants to debut their new skills.

Each day will include a minimum of 4 hours of horse handling including a mounted lesson, crafts and games. Each particpant will receive a braiding/banding kit.

Cost is $475 for the week or $125 per day. It is reccomended that anyone who has not completed a show prep previously unassisted come to the full week for the best experience. In barn clients sign up with Dorothy or on stablebuzz.

Get your registrations in before the last minute for our final show of the season which will be held this Saturday!

Show start time is 9am.

Entries will be accepted until Thursday at 7pm.

At that time class lists will be finalized.

We are working on organizing our prizes which may or may not leave glitter e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e.!!

We are sorry to have to do this but I do think it’s in ours and our horses’ best interest to reschedule and I’d prefer to know sooner rather than later so assuming you all might as well.

The footing will be less than ideal if we get the weather they’re calling for which appears to be constant rain starting this afternoon until later on Sunday.

⭐️Our new date will be Sept 21st starting at 9am.

We will move the competition ring indoors if needed on Sept 21st.

A new link will be posted for everyone to register for this new show date - we are aware the new date may not work for everyone.

Have a super weekend everyone and for once I really hope the weather person is right despite the call for a really wet weekend. If they’re way off and it’s sunny and clear I’ll be bummed.
