Only a few spots left in our Summer Horse Sense Program!

Horse Sense is a program designed to be an introduction to horses for women. This program is tailored towards women ages 18 + who are looking for an affordable opportunity to experience horses. Each session will be 2 hours long and the aim is to help women gain experience around horses and come to a better understanding of how horses work, as well as have the opportunity to handle them and ride them. This program is for those who have no experience with horses or for those who have previously ridden but want to start getting back into it again. It is perfect for parents who want to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of their child's sport and would like to try it themselves. It is also suited for those who are low on time/finances and want to find a way to spend some time in the barn and surrounded by the amazing animals. Do not let fear hold you back! We all understand and have amazing volunteers that can help support you and guide you through the process of learning something new. We've all been there.

Each Horse Sense session includes:
⭐ Horse Communication Lesson - Participants will get the opportunity to watch horses interact with each other as well as with an experienced handler. We will discuss how horses communicate, the importance of body language, and use of energy when working around horses (and people).
⭐ Ground Work Lesson - All participants will learn about how to safely handle horses on the ground and control them in various situations.
⭐Horse Handling Lesson - Participants will learn how to groom and saddle a horse.
⭐ Group Riding Lesson - All participants will have an opportunity to ride a horse at a walk. We learn about the basics of riding as well as an introduction to different styles/disciplines of riding.

Summer Session Dates:
1. June 14 1pm -3pm
2. June 28 1pm -3pm
3. July 12 1pm -3pm
4. Aug 9 1pm -3pm
5. Aug 23 1pm -3pm
