Avery is the next horse in my herd I am introducing-
I posted about her the other day, and she is confirmed with a purebred Fresian stallion [pictured] for a 2025 foal.
I purchased Avery at the end of 2021, and she has been in the herd since. She was originally purchased to be brought back into work and resold.. However, she has really stolen my heart.

Avery has both Seattle Slew, and Northern Dancer up close in her pedigree. She was started under saddle in spring of 2022 after being a broodmare for approximately 10 years. She was started over fences, and a lot of fun to ride.. However, she hasn't been in work since I was pregnant with Charlie the end of 2022.

Avery is approximately 16.1h, and the stallion she is being crossed with is 17h.. I think it will make a lovely prospect in just about any English discipline.

Tomorrow another mare of mine will be posted about 🌟

Each day until all of my horses have been posted I will be making a post of another.

The first mare currently in my program is "Cookie" [Bearly Cookiesncream]. Cookie was shown in both the US and Canada, before an unfortunate pasture injury ended her showing career.

Cookies 2023 c**t Camaro, who is by my AQHA stallion "Chevy" will be shown when he is a little older on the APHA circuit as well.

Cookie is likely being crossed on an outside stallion for a 2025 foal- This foal will be a top pleasure prospect, but with her pedigree will make a lovely all around mount.

Cookie is sired by A Bear Spirit, and out of a Cajun Bud stallion.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's mare 🌟

2023. Wow.. what a year is all I have to say.

I have had years I believed to be hard, but this past year truly rocked me to my core and tested me.

After having the best year in 2022 with my herd of horses, and beginning my business I began 2023 with high hopes in my breeding/horses.

I suffered with severe vomiting, dehydration, high blood pressure, and kidney issues while I spent the winter and spring months pregnant with Charlie. I was absolutely blessed to have such an amazing spouse, and his supportive family that were willing to help with the horses every step of the way while I went through this.

But, this year was a year that tested me. Knocked me while I was down. I walked out to the barn to my absolute favourite lovely mare who was 10 months in foal, spontaneously passed away overnight when I went to feed in the morning in February.

This year could not get worse.. I thought to myself

Forward to foaling season, my lovely mare Cricket was showing signs of foaling. I was doing hourly checks. But cricket is a shy mare, that was doing everything she could to time this foaling without me there.. anyone who knows breeding- these horses will cross their legs if they don't want someone there!

She was checked at 2am May 12th, by my 3am alarm Cricket had foaled a beautiful still born overo filly who failed to break the sac. Cricket had clearly foaled within the past 10 minutes- but even with the attempt to save her, I was unable. Thankfully Cricket was healthy, and she has had foals in the past..

Remember next time you question why you are paying "that much" for a weanling how much blood, sweat, tears, and love have gone into just producing that lovely 4 legged friend.. the ultrasounds, the vaccinations, the sleepless nights, the potential losses over the years, the igg and meeting the vet on weekends/emergency fees.

I was blessed to deliver Charlie on June 2nd, and he was healthy. I thought this would be the turning part of the year, and everything would be "normal".

Forward to my "old boy" Fil on a September afternoon. Who laid down and he could not get up. He was tired, he was 22 years old and after spending the previous year trying to bounce back from lack of proper feeding routine, he was done and ready to gain his wings. The hardest decision was having the power to say my final goodbyes to him, crying in his neck making sure he knew how loved he was before saying goodbye.

After losing multiple horses in 2023 I questioned my sanity, and said why do I even do this more times than not.

But, going out to the barn this morning after making a new "winter" field yesterday.. and watching the 4 horses in their new field, and the others in their old just taking it with stride.. being happy.

One of the 4 being a 20 year old retired standardbred whom I am fostering, and the other a coming 18 year old granddaughter of Seattle Slew "Addy". I look at them, and I am reminded why I do this.

I am said goodbye to beautiful Malibu on the third, and said goodbye to my beautiful yearling Johnny, and Cookie's c**t Camaro.

Bittersweet moments, but to hear Camaro is such a barn favourite, and every kid in the barn loves him, it reminds me I am EXACTLY where I need to be to bring a prosperous 2024 season.

I will be posting on my business page much more consistently in the coming weeks, and many posts will be coming.

The neighbour's may have thought we were nuts to be fencing the last day of December for something "elective".. Devin just gives a sigh and gets to work.. ❤️ I may have covid right now, but nose running like a leaky tap I was helping get this fence over with.

I wish everyone happiness and love through 2024.. and I hope to connect with people I may have lacked showing my appreciation to over this next year. 2023 is over, and it's time to learn the lessons from it, and move on.

&& for the record, there's no one I'd rather go through this wild thing called life then my one and only Devin. ❤️🥹

I cannot wait for everyone to see the things coming in 2024.. This is my year. ❤️

Please follow the page as I will be posting minimum 3 days per week, and if anyone is actively looking for a younger (under 4) project please let me know 🎉

Cruze is one funky looking baby right now. I am so excited to see what is underneath the last of the foal coat.

He is my only foal that I had in 2022 by Chevy. Lady has been confirmed in foal for the same cross in 2023, and I can't wait 😍.

Cruze was born May 10th, and for fun a few newborn photos. ❤️

I'm happy to say both Poppy and Finley are sale pending❣️

Teddy and Cruize are both still available at weaning. Teddy qualifies for regular APHA, and Cruze will be registered solid APHA.

Here are a few photos of the foals from the past few weeks. The babies are shedding out their baby coats and the shiny undercoats are starting to show 🥰

I'm always in awe about how these foals can unfold and grow so quickly.
I don't think it matters how many foals I raise, I'm still always so fascinated by mother nature.

Still so grateful to have all 5 of my foals here and healthy for 2022 💜

I decided to snap some photos of Cruze this morning.
Cruze is my only foal for 2022 that was by my stallion. Born May 10th.

Cruze will have- Zippo Pine Three, Zippo Pat Bars, The Sonny Star, By Appointment Only, Hug me Zippo, and Invitation Only all directly on his papers.

Cruze comes not only with a strong top pedigree, but also a competitive damline.

Deposit will hold until weaning. Earliest pick up would be September 10th. He will come with APHA solid registry papers. He will be fully halter broke, trailering, bathing etc.

If deposit is made soon, new owner can pick his registered name. He's expected to mature around 15h.
Please PM for more details.

🌟Serious priority to a show home. I would love to see him being shown in a few years, as he has the looks, movement and personality for it. 🌟

Meet Callie, who has just come in this evening. She is a 15 year old mare, and i believe she may stick large pony height.. this will be confirmed in the next few days❣️

She has only had one owner, and is a half sibling to my mare Andi, who is presently leased.

She was started under saddle but hasn't been ridden in approximately 10 years.
She is going to be put into a program to get restarted under saddle, and will eventually be available for sale.

Callie is a special mare that LOVES attention. Unfortunately, her owners are moving to Alberta and aren't able to take Callie with them.

More updates to come as she progresses 🥰

Today Emma (Ethans younger cousin) came out to meet the horses.
Of course Fil had to go out of his way to say hello and make sure the kids were able to get their share of pats and carrots in.

I truly pray Fil is going to come out of this making a full recovery and happy celebrations all around.

But, at the end of the day I am treating every day I have with this boy as a blessing, and I hope that he understands he's surrounded by endless love for as long as we have together regardless.

Thank you for blessing us with another day together ❤️

If booking fee paid the stud fee will remain the same for 2023 as well.. This is only an introductory rate and his fee will be going up next season. Book now to get the discount for next season 🥰

Smooth criminal "Ivan" is an 8 year old 16.2h Canadian sport horse registered stallion that is standing at stud for the 2022 season. He is currently available for live cover only at this time.

Depending on the mares breed the foal will be registerable with the Canadian Sporthorse association.

He currently only has 2 offspring on the ground and they are in the last 2 photos. One is currently in a training program in the USA.
They show great athleticism and have very trainable personalities.
Ivan is currently expecting 2 foals for 2023, I am offering him for a discounted fee for 2022 in hopes to have 5 offspring from him in 2023.

Ivan is linebred Art Deco, and gaurenteed to only throw tobiano (paint coloured) foals. Ivan is negative for both PSSM and WFFS.
Ivan has had a late start in life under saddle, however is showing tremendous potential for eventing/jumpers.
Ivan does have some paint/quarter horse influence which helps add bone and a more laid back personality.
He is being offered for $500.00 live coloured gaurentee.
Please feel free to contact me for more details.
Located in Paisley ontario, however i can aid with trailering for a fee.

The first foal of the season to be posted in Poppy ❣️
She's an absolutely stunning filly and is going to make someone a great prospect.
I can really see this girl going the ranch riding direction, but really she is bred to do a bit of everything.

Poppy was born may 13th 2022, weaning date will be up for discussion depending on how she matures. She is available to leave any time between September 1st and November 1st 2022.. boarding through the winter is available as well at an additional cost.

She has lovely lines that compliment one another well. She's expected to mature at the same height as her parents around the 15.2h mark, however she has A LOT of bone.

Her dam Lou "LL Smooth Cash" is a 15.2h mare that is an absolute sweetheart. She's in your pocket, and loves to be around people. Poppy was Lou's first foal and she truly outdid herself.
Lou was well broke to ride, and was used for lower level shows/barrels. Photo of Lou in riding shape attached. Unfortunately an injury ended her riding career.

Poppy's sire is AQHA stallion Sunrise Zippo. Who is bred very similarly to my AQHA stallion Chevy.
He stands at approximately the same height, and is now 25. Before retiring he was an earner of 149 points in the show circuit.
He has many foals on the ground and they are known to be big movers that eat up the ground.

Sunrise Zippo is an own son of Zippo Pine Bar who needs no introduction.
Poppy will have Zippo Pine Bar, Zippo Pat Bars, and Nu Peppy Chex directly on her papers... with her lines going back to Countless others.

I see something special with her, and I cannot wait to see what she turns into.
Video coming in the next few days..

Poppy is available for purchase now.
A deposit will hold until weaning, or payment arrangements can be made until she is ready to leave.
Poppy will come fully halter broke, tying, lifting feet, and comfortable trailering.

Located in Paisley Ontario, Canada. However, Shipping can be arranged anywhere through Canada, or most of the usa.
References available for site unseen buyers from previous purchasers of foals/horses from my breeding program.
She will come with AQHA papers, please contact for more information, or for a copy of the weanling contract.

Please understand, a lot of work is put into breeding these horses, and time+energy ensuring they get here safely and healthy. Countless sleepless nights, and tears when breeding these horses.
She is priced VERY reasonably in the mid 4 figure range. 🥕 🇨🇦

Foaling season might be over here, but its piglet season here now. 🤣💜

I can't believe I am saying my girl Pork had 20 piglets this morning 😱 although.. I knew she had to be baking a whole batch.. the poor girls belly was going to start dragging on the ground soon.

I think it's a good thing Beans has started letting down milk.. she seems quite happy to try and feed a few.
We will see how it goes, and if needed a few will be bottle fed.
They are absolutely adorable..
And most will be offered for sale at weaning, and you can gaurentee they will be great with kids and people.. if I don't sell them as piglets I know I'm going to end up having 25 pigs running around here 😬

06/10/2022

Yesterday was a busy day here.. and I sit typing this with so many different emotions, and I have been back and forth on whether to even make a post... but I feel things need to be said.

Some of you know Fil, my sisters thoroughbred gelding who was rehomed 2 years ago as a trail horse and to be loved on as a family pet more than anything.

Fil who is (even still at 22) completely sound has worked hard for people through his life, and deserved to have his own family to spoil him, instead of him working hard for others.. He's been there done that with extensive miles in the hunter and jumper rings. Although he could have been sold as a schoolie or lesson horse we decided it was in his best interest to have a "retirement" home from that scene.

This is Fil now.

The old me, honestly would have jumped straight to anger.

But today I'm sad... Sad that we live in a world that one is too afraid to reach out for help in fear of being attacked, and bashed online publicly.

We need to work harder within the horse industry to be inviting, and show we are here to help...

Please, if you need help ask for it.. anyone who knows me, knows that I will do everything in my power to try and help with the horses I have sold.

I am sorry, I can't afford to buy back every horse I have sold... I wish I could, but please know, if you are ever in a position you don't know what to do with them and you feel as though there's no way out. Please reach out, let me know what is going on.
If the horse is at risk you can gaurentee I will try to do everything in my power to find a way to get them back to me, and yes eventually they will likely be rehomed again in the future.
I wish I was in a position to retire horses to the pasture and feed them through the winters.
But, unfortunately horses are expensive.. over this past winter my horses went through basically a 700 pound bale a day of hay from December-April of this year.
I need to rehome them if I feel as though another can benefit from them, and love them.

But my #1 message through all of this is understanding I am a judge free zone and if you need help/a soft landing for a horse I have sold previously.. do not be embarrassed because they are thin, do not be embarrassed because they have picked up nasty habits. I want to help, and I want to give these horses a chance.

So today, instead of the anger I would have felt towards the previous owners of Fil I sit here beside him eating grass about how thankful I am that I have been given this chance to show Fil that it is our turn to take care of him, the way he took care of so many others through these years.

and as he stands there munching away for his little bit of turnout I can't help but wonder what is going through his head about being back here once again.

and for anyone wondering, no I will not pass out any information on the previous owners. That is not the purpose of this post in any way. I have seen their other horses many times and they have always been in good condition. Unfortunately, Fil was just too much to keep for them.

I'm just thankful that I was given the opportunity to give this boy another chance, and I pray he bounces back 💜
But if nothing else, he's surrounded by love, warm mashes, and endless food for as long as I have with him. (Obviously once he's been reintroduced slowly to feed again).
And side note.. his name is spelt wrong on purpose. 🥰

Countless messages were typed and deleted in fear, but I'm just thankful I finally got that message, and Fil, I hope this is forever but if it isn't I promise to once again show that I always have an open spot for one of mine that just need another chance.

Babies, babies, and more babies. Enjoy a bit of foal spam today!
I am in love with all 5 of these guys, it's crazy how different each is with their own bloodlines.

I'm so excited to see what each of these 5 will grow to become, I can definitely see them all as being show quality prospects 💜

Although none of these foals are yet listed, all foals this year will be APHA registered. Except Lous filly (chestnut with blaze), who will be registered with AQHA.

4 will be available, at this time Johnny is going to be retained until he is a yearling or 2 y/o. So thankful to have the blessing of having him here, a red bag delivery is something I hope to never experience again❣️

Sometimes in life it feels like we can't win and it's against us.

I am proud to say that this year has been a turning point for myself and my goals/focus. I have made some tough choices, and I have worked hard everyday to move towards a future goal.

In life, I am thankful to say I have my health, and unfortunately not everyone is lucky enough to say this.

With the help of Andi's wonderful Lessee's I was able to donate $1,250.00 to the Liams Legacy Golf tournament and my donation will be going to Juravinski Hospital, to provide patient amenities for young cancer patients who are being treated at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre in the hematology department.

Thankful for the ups, and I work through the downs. Yesterday was definitely a day to look back in my past, and realize how far I have come in sucg a short period, and it makes me excited to see the future.

Thank you to EVERYONE who has helped support me this far into this journey, and those who will help me in the future to be able to continue to give back in the ways I can ❣️

Who's the first horse to go into the pen? Lucky Avery.

This is Avery's second time in an arena with me, third ride since February, and she was inside for hours leading up to me hopping on.
This is after about 10 minutes of riding.

Remember in the winter when she was listed before selling and she was a diamond in the ruff? Now she's just a diamond 💎.
She's chunky, shiny, living outside generally 24/7, barefoot and trotting on hard clay in these videos.. what more could you ask for??

Completely sound, no vices, easy to handle on the ground, no spook buck bolt or rear. Although she's forward she's always respectful.

She would be perfect for a confident teen to bring along.

Someone looking for their next show prospect that's willing to give a golden oldie a chance❣️

More video walk trot canter available from today. She's approximately 15.3h (I am 5.10ft in video), 16 years old, and was used as a broodmare since retiring from racing and she is looking to excel in a new career.

Although her new owner can't spend the time with her and needs to sell her, Avery is going to be a serious win for her next partner.
Previously I really thought trails is where she excelled, but after riding her in the arena today... WOW definitely could do much much more.

Located in Paisley Ontario, and trailering can be arranged ontario wide
Please PM for photos, video, more details.

She isn't for a complete beginner, but is extremely honest and willing.

I feel like a kid on Christmas today. I'm soo excited to finally have an arena.
It has been over 3 years now I have been riding through the fields and up the road. Although I definitely made it work, and honestly I feel in ways made me a better rider/handler by learning more on the groundwork, and trusting myself that if I did the groundwork right the rides shouldn't* be an issue. But, at the end of the day horses are horses. And working with a horse that has no manners without a proper enclosed space was definitely a challenge.

Now that I have Ivan my stallion who is still green, and learning manners this was definitely a vital step for me to continue forward.
A 30 foot round pen, and 80x140 pen was definitely the perfect way to do that 💜

And of course as always I can rely on Devin, and James for help with putting all these things up.

I truly feel extra blessed today😇

Another day in paradise ✨️
Chevy (My AQHA stallion) out for a trot

Chevy has Zippo Pat Bars, Three Bars, Sonny Dee Bar, Zippo Pine Bar and Poco Pine directly on his papers.
He has the perfect foundation lines and I am hoping to have 4 foals by him for 2023

He will be standing for stud in 2023, and I will be accepting mares for 2022 if anyone is still stallion shopping. Unfortunately a pasture accident as a weanling prevented him from being sound to ride, but I'm thankful to have a stallion this quiet and easy to work with that has lines like these in my program.. His foals should have the potential to go any direction with the right owners ❣️

The horses are all curious what's up.

I'm so thankful to finally have a corral to be able to work the horses in. I also definitely making the most of the fields, but now that it's planting season I'm happy to finally have this off the list ✅️

I will be taking on a few training clients until the weather starts to change in the fall. I'm excited for this "new" chapter and helping others with their horses.

Although I have started many horses, and a few for friends here and there I have never put myself out there for training, and im more than ready to begin 💜
