✨ Why E-Collars are a game-changer:
✅ They’re not uncomfortable when used properly.
✅ They let you communicate with your dog, even at a distance.
✅ They’re an incredibly low-impact tool for training.
✅ They’re great for reinforcing behaviors like recall and redirecting focus.
Forget the myths—E-Collars, when paired with proper training, can truly transform your relationship with your dog! 💡

Check out Zeus’s incredible transformation after just 2 weeks of board and train! 🐾
This 3-year-old Cane Corso came to us with some pretty big challenges—severe human aggression (he bit 7 people!), dog reactivity, and couldn’t even leave the house without stress.
We kicked things off with muzzle training (which came off after just a couple of days) and e-collar work, and quickly switched to a prong collar for some solid leash manners. From there, we focused on building trust, working on leash walking, and gradually exposing Zeus to dogs and people in a controlled way. We also helped his owners understand his Cane Corso temperament and how to set proper boundaries.
Fast forward to today—Zeus is now going on walks like a champ, staying calm around people and dogs, and can be called off when things get too exciting. His owners now have the tools to manage him with confidence—whether it’s answering the door or keeping him cool in new situations.
This is just the start! We’ll keep up regular sessions to keep Zeus mentally sharp and give him a healthy outlet. So proud of how far he’s come! 🐶

Still on the Fence About E-Collar Training? 🤔
E-collars are only bad when you don’t know how to use them PROPERLY!
E-collar training is a gentle and effective way to help your dog better understand what you’re asking—without relying on constant leash pressure or risking a harsh yank from a long line.
While e-collars can sometimes get a bad reputation, here are some huge benefits you might not have considered:
🐾 Less Physical Strain: Continuous leash pulling can cause more physical strain on your dog.
🐾 Clearer Communication: Dogs often grasp commands faster with e-collars, leading to less frustration for both of you.
🐾 Redirect Prey Drive: Perfect for those moments when a squirrel becomes your dog’s #1 priority.
🐾 Reinforce Recall: Build stronger off-leash reliability in any environment.
🐾 Safety First: Prevent your dog from entering potentially dangerous situations.
⚠️ Important Reminder: Don’t attempt e-collar training on your own! Always work with a certified trainer who understands how to properly and ethically use this tool.

Training Tip: Understanding Negative Markers! 🗣️
You’ve probably heard of positive markers like “Yes!” or treats for reinforcing good behavior. But did you know you can also use negative markers? 🤔
Negative markers aren’t a bad thing—they’re simply a sound or word used when your dog isn’t quite getting it right. By using a distinct sound you are helping them understand that they need to try a different behaviour instead! Think of it as gentle guidance that when paired with positive markers can help your dog better understand what you are looking for!
Give it a try, and see how quickly your dog catches on! 🐶💡

🐾 Step 2 of Recall Training: The Clock Exercise! 🕒
In this step, we’re throwing treats in different directions and backing up as your pup comes toward you. Changing directions keeps things fun and engaging for your dog, while backing up encourages them to pick up the pace and return to you quickly! 🏃♂️🐶
This exercise adds a little excitement to recall training and helps build speed and focus! Give it a try and let us know how it goes! 💪✨

🐾 Training Tip! 🐾
This may seem like a simple recall video, but here are a few key adjustments that can make a big difference when training your dog to have strong recall:
Tip #1: Use a long leash. Start recall training with a long leash so you can reinforce the command if needed.
Tip #2: Call your pup by name. Always use your dog’s name before the command, especially in group settings, so they know you’re calling for them!
Tip #3: Reward quickly! Mark your pup’s behavior as soon as they start coming towards you, and give a treat when they reach you. Make recall fun and rewarding! 🎉🐕
These simple adjustments can help improve your pup’s recall and make training more enjoyable! Check in tomorrow morning for the 2nd step and learn how to do a clockwork exercise 💪🐶

At Home Training Tip Alert! 🚨🐾
Alishia makes keeping your pup in a perfect heel look easy, but we all know it can be challenging sometimes! Here’s a simple tip that can make a big difference:
When you reward your dog in front of you, you might be unintentionally encouraging the wrong behaviour. 😮
Try switching up your leash position to the opposite hand, so you can reward your pup in the correct spot—it helps them understand what you’re asking of them and reinforces the correct position!
Have you tried this tip yet? Let us know how it worked! If not, give it a go and see the difference! 🐕

See the difference just 5 minutes can make? Now imagine what a couple of sessions could do! 🐕✨
Here’s a sneak peek inside a training session with our head trainer, Alishia. Sometimes we tend to over-correct our pups, but the most valuable work is often creating calmness. 🧘♂️
By exposing your dog to new experiences and rewarding their focus, you build a positive environment where your dog is fully engaged with you—creating a happier space for both of you! 🐾💛
Great job to everyone in the session! 🎉

🐾 We couldn't be prouder of Pippa! 🐾
Last week, Pippa graduated from our board and train program, and her progress has been nothing short of amazing! During her time with us, she worked on so much more than just her biggest issues. From loose leash walking to recall, brain games to mastering "place," Pippa tackled it all with enthusiasm and determination. 🐶💪
But what truly shines about Pippa is her newfound confidence and growth. She's transformed into a well-rounded pup, ready to take on the world alongside her loving family. ❤️ Though we miss her dearly, we're thrilled to know that she's now able to enjoy life comfortably at home, armed with the skills and knowledge she's gained during her stay.
Pippa, you're a shining example of what dedication and hard work can achieve, and we're so grateful to have been a part of your journey. We'll miss your wagging tail and eager spirit, but we know you're off to do great things with your family by your side. 🐾💕
